Hi Guys,

I have order a dinner and done a transaction of amount of Rs 297 to food through PAYTM UPI but order was failed because of transaction failed. I have checked in my bank account amount was deducted and PAYTM also confirmed it was success from their end… Payment was transferred to Foodpanda and they provided the UPI ID also but Foodpanda saying it was failed from their end and they have checked their gateway as well still saying payment was not cached in their gateway.. Now I have to know where is the amount Rs 297 went ? is it disappeared ???

Now FoodPanda is asking my bank statement to check further.. I said I cant provide because all my personal transactions was there ..without statement they said they cant move further… Now I feel foodpanda is cheating the customer money and also I got irritated from foodpanda customer executives chat ..they dont have any proper customer care support or contact number..

Now I am planing to do some high level escalation about cheating customer money to some department…

Want to know how we can proceed further…

I have UPI transaction history in PAYTM I have shared that screen shot too to FoodPanda.. but foodpanda is not interested to take any risk of rechecking it…

Yea since its your money they are not interested in checking anything. Until the Bank goes after them they ignore it. But the bank will want to know what happened and they have to provide the information.. Happened so many times.. I escalate it in a few weeks nothing happens. With large companies you complain to banks they have compliance officer breathing down the neck of the merchant.. I got a call from HP gas saying how sorry they were for disappearing one of my online booking.. It was gone from their system.. But they cant disappear it from their SBI bank statement.. And when the bank called and asked why they not providing the service, they did it the very next day..

Here it looks like the payment gets stuck and the retry will be sent for 2 days and then if not successful it gets transferred back to your bank.

You can contact PayTM with the details and they can look at it.. I have had this happen many times.. Some times I need to contact the payment bank and the merchant.. I am currently going through something with Indian Oil Company where I paid by UPI but they wanted to see a PayTM payment screen.. So my payment of 1500 is in their account but they wont acknowledge it.. No merchandise and money already paid.. I already informed HDFC and since the transaction originated at PayTM bank thats who I will contact next.. Its a hassle but I figure sooner or later the money will come back.. I had a similar problem with Ola money but they reversed it on the same day to the account. Others take longer..

Heck I made a UPI xfer from my PayTM bankto my HDFC bank using freecharge and even thats pending which is a first since either it fails or its done immediately.. I figure it will fail at which point the money goes back to my PayTM account.. They do this because they dont want to give you the offer I suppose..

Many shady merchants are ignorant of banking.. I call them shady because they do not take these transactions seriously when they should.. Banking transactions are the most serious and defined commerce activity in the world. And as long as you do it within defined channels its provable and safe. Foodpanda can give a lot of excuses but IF the money was deposited into their account thats a serious violation that would go on record. If not then it was an error and would get fixed..

What I love about 2018 is, I remember the days where you would wire money to someone and they would send you shoddy products or cheat you.. These days you can just flag them on google maps and anyone searching for them would see they are a shoddy outfit and if you are a Guide with clout, thats it for them.. Works wonders in the modern age..

Don’t panic, provide them Paytm transaction by giving screenshot or in pdf form ur money will return soon

I have given transactions screen shot 3 times, and also I got mail from PAytm to confirm payment was success.. still food panda did not consider any thing and asking bank statement.. i think later they will ask for net banking user name and password to check my transaction rage rage rage
First I have under stand who gave rights to them to ask Customer bank statement ? IF they online transaction was safe and clear ???

Hey brother, sorry to hear about your trouble. You can open a transaction dispute case with Bank/PayTM and it would be in in their bucket to get your money back. You do not have to provide your statements to anyone, unless there is a legal requirement. All the best!

oho don’t get so much hyper, it happens sometimes. You will get refund to your source account incase of failed transactiion.

This cannot be called as fraud.

This issue happen on last month 4th Nov 2018 and wait for a month now..still no response from foodpanda….

This is not new from them, last month i ordered an offer item for Rs. 18 (some restaurant snacks offer) and as soon as i placed the order, the order was cancelled by the restaurant, but still no sign of refund of that amount, this is their way making foodpanda profitable i think, just like snapdeal used to do previously, i stopped using FP since then. since the amt is small, i did not waste time in asking for it thinking they would do it automatically but alas, still no sign of it. so they are doing it deliberately

You will receive the refunds for all the cencelled or failed orders but after ages ehen you won’t even remember. Happened with me

Please wait for at least 14 working days for the failed transaction to reflect back to your account. Take action after the said period.
Consumer forum may be approached for these kind of issues.
