Central Government has increased excise duties by Rs 10 per litre on petrol and Rs 13 per litre on diesel. Retail sale prices of petrol and diesel will, however, not change on account of this increase in duties. These duty rate changes shall come into effect from 6th May, 2020.

In my opinion it is not that bad in this time and indeed the government will use the extra money to revive the economy. It’s only beneficial for industries not for common people. The price should remain same as it is till whole situation is finished because when people hear that peteol prices are decreased they will come out of their house to buy petrol. It’s just an opinion though
PMCARES Fund mein donate mat karo because aap to waise hi petrol deisel kharidte time 100% se zyada extra Paisa donate karte aa rahe ho barson see ab woh Paisa 110% pay karna hoga
Ye Paisa kharch hoga faker ki yatraon par aur costly mushroom par AIIMS mein aam aadmi ko ilaj nahi milega wahan to PMCARES ke owners ilaz karwayenge free mein
It’s political donation. Corporates Donating there so that they will seek shelter when things will go south in few months time.
Updated by ANI :
The price hike will be absorbed by Oil Marketing Companies leading to no increase in retail prices of fuel at the pump.
Wrong title, only excise duties are increased not retail prices.
Anyway here after all ‘increased/hiked’ sad news only
The irony
