Use Helium from CM…’
i earlier used on MOTOe unrooted..
hope this will help u.
Thanks! Downloading Helium and researching more about Titanium…
Just to clarify, the Yureka isn’t unrooted – and we can still backup EVERYTHING?
I was reading rooting tutorial and it said that internal storage will be erased – so to root, I have to first backup all the apps, and then go with the rooting tutorial.

yes bro it is recommended to take backup though rooting by framearoot not delete yr data but to be safe we should take whole system backup. Titanium backup is for rooted only & used for backup whole changing roms"@sidbhai":http://www.desidime.com/users/193713 wrote:

Got it. So for now, as unrooted Yureka, I need to use Helium. Titanium is out of question.
But when I launch Helium, it says “Please connect your Android to USB.” Already unplugged and plugged in the device multiple number of times. Still the same issue.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

Dont open phone app… first open windows application.. make sure that Helium drivers for your phone is installed properly..
also check for developer mode with USB debugging ON in phone settings.

I have turned on the USB debugging mode in Yureka.
I am also using Mac.
Will install the Helium app and not open it from the phone.
But will open the Mac Helium app. And then we backup all the data to desktop, right?

Also, install manufacturer provided “adb” drivers.
The android device data transfer was a long question, i think it’s very convenient to use a mobile phone file transfer and backup app to help. Just few simple steps to transfer everything from your phone to computer.

+1
This is what I used before unlocking bootloader of my oneplus two, the best I’ve found to backup apps on unrooted device.
There are some backup apps available.
for non-rooted phones: Easy Backup & Restore
for rooted phones: Titanium Backup.
for desktop backup: Android Manager

Another tool called Android Assistant: http://www.mobikin.com/assistant-for-an...d/
You can use titanium backup. It will save both app plus data.
