I need to spend 1L for second year fee waiver.

How do they calculate the spends?
Is it based on financial year or Annual year or is it calculated based on the card issued date.

Any way to identify whether I have reached my spend limit or not?

Card issued month. No way to track annual spend

Manually add and check

It’s based on card issue date.
If you don’t remember your card issue date then call your credit card customer care and ask them the same.
Once you know the date then open your credit card statements after that date and add the total spends.

I have HDFC CLUBMILES which was upgraded from HDFC DINERS. In this case do they consider the latest card issued date?

Why us to calculate? We can directly ask the cc to tell the total spends from the card issue date in this year.

That cc guy will also do the same.
Why to waste time on call when you can do the same on your own smile

In my statement, they write accumulated spend till date, and how much remaining to achieve 1L

So no need to calculate for me

Some banks directly have that information in their application. For ex. SC cc will tell you directly the total amount without recalculation.

Ok. It’s a good card for free (if you manage to spend 1 lakh in previous year)

As per ICICI website:
Joining Privileges
Fees
You pay a joining fee of Rs. 500 + GST
You pay an annual fee of Rs. 500 + GST from 2nd year onwards – waived off if you spend more than Rs. 1,50,000 in the previous year.

But today I got the first year fee reversed since i spent more than 125K.

———————————
Does first year fee reversed if we achieve spends target in amex or any other CC?
