Simple solution- yeh bus union, auto union ke logo ko line me khada karke automatic weapon se goli kardo. Chalo permanently settle ho jayega price hike demand.

Mumbai and Kolkata taxi rates are similar. The difference is that in Mumbai the first stage is 22 for 1.5 KM and in Kolkata the first stage is 30 for 2 KM. So a bit of adjustment in stage is always possible.
oh you mean auto rates? They never use the meter here and rates are 30 now anyway.
And CNG went up 25% in the last 5 years? But auto rates have doubled. Every time gas prices goes up 25% auto prices double. It works like this.. CNG prices goes up auto prices go up, petrol prices go up auto prices go up, diesel prices go up audo prices go up.. Floods and auto prices go up.. So auto prices go up 4 times as much as prices actually going up.
Would be nice if raises go up like that.
