Share your Cyclone Experiences

Number of cyclone occurance has increased due to global warming. Last year in 2019 we experienced two cyclones:
Cyclone Fani and Bulbul.


But Amphan was really scary.
But never thought my city, City of Joy Kolkata would face such devastation.
People lost their lives.

My experience:

One of my 2nd floor windows got  unhinged. I had to tie it to the  iron grill to secure it. Otherwise it would have blown away by the wind.

Rain Water was gushing from all the window gaps even after closed.

On 20th May from evening electricity was gone most of the time ( resumes after midnight). No water no supply morning of until 21st. Mobile Phone connectivity was unreliable at best. But now improved. Jio Data speeds are still under 50 Kbps as of today.

But unlike thousands of others I still have roof over my head.

I can only pray for them… and donate some money.  But I feel that’s not enough.
