I need suggestions for best over ear or on ear headphones under the budget on 1500 , got to buy them for my dad. he is a music freak and mostly listens to ghazals.
Your inputs would be appreciated a lot as i am not that much into music myself so have zero knowledge of the same

yes its $42 now . way over my budget.but even if it was in the budget is it safe to buy from abroad websites ? what about delivery times and customs and warranties ?
well if you can find it on indian site under 3k then its a steal but if you only want it under 1.5k Sennheiser HD202 is good headphones

I know 20% off is not enough for dimers but I have not seen the price go down further in the last three months I have been following it. Quality must be amazing though. Saying this based on my experience with a budget headphone from Sennheiser. All the more recommended since it’s for your father who likes ghazals a lot.

On-ear:
Koss portapro used to sell for 1.7k on amazon.in pre-gst but right now everyone seem to have grossly inflated it’s price or is that gst effect? 
Koss ksc75, the little brother is good too but don’t pay more than 1100-1200.
Over-ear:
Samson SR850 or Superlux Hd681 (both sell near your budget during sale)
I was in same state last month wanted best headphones for 2k and got the best one after lot of research and help from stupendous man . Superlux 668B 30$ gear best not sure if the offer is still there
