The no. at the top is notification of battery widget. You can set remaining battery % ,etc etc to display in that notification.I have opted for “Remaining time left”.It automatically calculated no. or hours or minutes left depending upon current consumption. While charging the numeric value displays how many hours or minutes left for complete charge.
For usb storage mode,I have not yet checked.I’ll let you know by evening.

Also there seems to be much difference in the 2 readings, your battery is at 99% but the widget is saying 56. i downloaded the same battery widget reborn beta and it tells me the same number whihc is there in my battery stats but there is a huge difference in your 2 readings

It fluctuates frequently depending upon the rate of usage. If you keep it on standby for while then the no. will increase.
I do not remember the widget name and phone is off due to low battery.I will update it along with your previous query, very soon.
Thanks for the tips, it helps in switching to the 2g network however, if I have to move back to the 3g network, its not really successful, I am not able to view the WCDMA network unless I do a restart, tried quite a few things, but no avail, could you please share if you know a workaround.
I also noticed that 4g button allows access to the #4636## menu, and changes made to network preference are saved.
Edit: I am on Vodafone Karnataka
As i already told i tried above before vicks or u posted it here. I now retested thing, after moving to ICS. It doesnot work for me. Manually if i select operator 40477 WCDMA network, it stays for second and changes to 40477 2G network. BUT it works only if one wants network ‘2G only’.
Thanks worked perfectly for me on ICS….I dont need to select network options and all…when I uncheck 2G only it by defult jumps back to 4G (3G)
Now only 1 question is there any way where I can time this? Example at 1 AM every night switch to 2G only and at 8 AM every select all networks
can anybody share widgetsoid installation file? I had it installed but could test / confirm its working with data connection. In the mean time factory reseted phone it lost it. And now it seems its available as donate version only (with these features).

Same for me.
But Toggling is working fine in that donate version.

Nope
Chirag, u can try automating task using these apps…..
automatic from emiliebw
Automateit from smarterapps
automatic settings changer from technicaljar.com
Automagic Premium by gridvision
I havent used them, but it looks like they would work out for ur need.
Btw i again installed free widgetsoid version and 2g/2g switching (need to configure more to make it simple) and wifi hotspot are working great. Never expected it before. Now i am superhappy
Tushar, when i toggle between 2g, 3g widgetsoid is opening menu to select network everytime. I was expecting things to work automatically just by toggle button. Am i doing anything wrong?

This process is no more required. One can do following :-
- download Secret Code Revealer from Google Store
- Open and click Search Code
- Goto code 386386
- Click Launch Code and Ok
- Goto RAT Mode on page
- Select between Automatic, LTE, UMTS or GSM and click OK
Thats it.:-P
^^ tried it and worked too, but again one has to go through menus for that. Toggle button which would work readily is better option for frequent operation IMO. Thanks anyway.

Secret Code Reveler or Widgetsoid ?? Code Reveler is just 3 steps process. Moreover u can add favorite, icon, description to code and have particular Code widget on home screen.:-P

It will open a menu from wherein you need to select manually for 2G or 3G.
There may be other options as well, but so far I am aware of this and it meets our requirement.
Hi,
By mistake in step 9, I selected “Mobile Networks” and also checked “Use by default for this action”. As a result I am not able to get to “Mobile Network settings” in which I can select “Use Only 2G Networks” . Is there any way to change my selection? I even tried un/re-installing the widget but I am no longer getting the option in step 9. Is there any other way by which I can enable only 2G network?
Thanks
I have sold the phone way back. I don’t remember much..
Go to settings and select this app/widget..over there check for default…the default actions of any app can be removed from there..
Thank u
i was searching for the same.
