what to do regarding possible cheat by ebay seller
hello friends, this is my 1st post in desidime, as i searched for ebay fraud prevention i found this forum,
On 25th aug in ebay i searched about lyfflame7 phone,and on found a seller is selling it for 3650,so it seemed good deal,seller also wrote about giving sim with item, but had 0 feedback, i contacted the seller, he said he is new distributor of mobile and since he is new no-feedback and also promised he will use id-documents only for genuine purpose [for my sim] only, so i purcased the item and paid money by mobikwik and also sent the scanned documents.
i also got message from him that he is very genuine and will do his best and ship the item on saturday, but today i again was checking about matter and saw he wrote in shipping that item will be shipped by speedpost, but on his feedback saw,some buyer wrote “seller is cheater and sent only box without phone” and that made me worried and i wrote seller a message asking why he is sending itme by speedpost,when he said courier and what about feedback and previously he always responeded but today no-reply from him
and things seem suspicious, because he also removed all listed items from ebay also,

Now please suggest what todo?
since i had paid by mobikwik ,full money is already paid?
ebay will not cancel transaction?
if i not take item and return it, can i claim item not received?
if i take item,ebay will not easily return item?
what can i do to protect my documents?
please provide any suggestions, thanks

That’s ok now that you have sent. Make a note of the seller id on ebay so that in case something happens in the future you know who it is. Also send a mail about this to ebay asking to warn the seller.

Immediately contact ebay over EMAIL and explain them in detail, also mention that due to buyer feedback you do not want to accept package. They will automatically cancel and refund. Once it happened with me when I bought memory card, seller was cheat, and my order cancelled and automatically claim raised and approved, but took lot of time to get money(may be 1 month)

Can you please give me a link of the allowed items? Speed post is more economical for shipping if time is not an issue.

There was a poster kind of thing in post office and the lady officer arrogantly asked me to read loud list of allowed items. She herself was ignorant that electronics is in allowed list and guess they were plainly rejecting electronics parcels.

I hate India Post.
The govt. employees working there feels as if they are doing big favor on us working over there. They are very cheap people, i hate govt. employees.

Agree with you. That day lady officer was sort of trying to humiliate me when argued then at the end it was kind of humiliation for her, but she immediately went inside the moment I read electronics from the list. Her junior still tried to dissuade me saying you know India post handling, your mobiles may break…etc. I did not retaliate because I visit that PO and did not want them go into revenge mode.

In my opinion please don’t received the package. And inform this matter to eBay cc . There system auto tracked courier once it deliver automatically it say delivered. But if u returned it there system trace it returned and refund automatically generated of ur order. All is well
