I selected the IFB 8KG washing machine one, but I’m worried about the after sales service.
I saw a lot of negative reviews about it

I have read several complaints that their machines had problems after 2-3 years and then IFB service will make you pour money without resolving the issue . .. So went for a samsung one even though has less features compared to same price IFB machine

Midea reviews are good. Panasonic is best, brands like LG, Samsung are also good.

He is worried about after sales service – which you don’t have and wish you will not need

their 4 years warranty covers each and every parts.
This too was my main reason going for this one or else i was going for siemens/bosch only…

what is your range or budget.
if can afford other brands, then narrow down on few options.
Since BPL could not survive well, they sold the Jeeves thing (the after sales company) to Flipkart
but Flipkart is running it like ola, uber, housejoy. anyone (mostly old distributors of BPL, LG) can be on-boarded to be a ‘Jeeves repair centre’
and they just hire boys locally, sometimes with zero training on the specific brand they are sent to repair 🤪😖

Bosch products too are being ‘dumped’ here. Hitachi over prices.
this, apart from homegrown brands like Godrej, Videocon, Whirlpool (though they are American), only LG and Samsung offer deeper support infrastructure and better innovation for Indian needs.

I had bought 5.8l Haier Washing machine 3 years back …which just stopped working…it starts, but stops on spin and just starts and stops.
Haier guy said, problem with motherboard and needs to be repaired costing around 2400(repair but button change charge)

Instaed of repairing I was considering to buy with extention of warranty. I m comfortable with 6kg.

Budget would be around 12k. Same haier machine now @ 7500 around on Amazon after SBI discount and 1000pay balance

@alekhyadas bro close ur eyes and go for ifb, and the model (front load 8kg) u selected is the one I bought few months ago, the installation was done by ifb team itself in west bengal (u r also from there i think) in quick time, also the guy was good, he said if any problem u can call me. The model is available at best price on Flipkart as of now considering double discount. Go for it, also if u want u can consider bosch.

okay 12000-13000 means you are in for Top Loading.
and 6KG is fair size.
well to be honest, if you are really looking at budget options then quality or longevity of products will be comparable too. (Haier didn’t really have a high image or good products, typical reverse engineering company, using the Chinese USP of cheaper labour and nearly free resources).
but i recently saw even deals like Bosch coming in at 12-13000 (obviously, with the elite tag that the like of Braun or Bosch carry, anything at that price is actually mediocre stuff targeted at third world markets).
If you are fixated on IFB, better locate some existing users in your area to get a review of how easy it is to get spares or after-market service of those. [after-market meaning non-IFB, because it is a really old and famous brand in many parts].
better take feed-back from local technicians and users who’ve used it for ..at-least till warranty expired.

IFB products have no longer got the same efficiency or quality edge at the price point.
someone known (ex neighbour from same building) had this Samsung machine that they are happy with and last month i tried to find it, but was replaced by WA62M4100HY and we recommended this other family to check it. they bought if from a dealer.

i’m surprised to see that it [WA62M4100HY] is actually in your budget and even 6.2KG.
but these newer models need slightly more care if there is hard water and the filters and other parts aren’t often cleaned or maintained then things go hunkydory.

just take another estimate or opinion for your Haier PCB and get an electrical audit done at your premises (earthing and wiring checked) by a knowledgable and sincere professional.

P.S.: I’ve not recommended that Samsung model. it was just an example. for washing machines. after Onida smile Godrej (and now busted Videocon), I prefer LG. (in-fact, if you are a family person and someone can get into that much hassle, you’d get a good semi-automatic LG under 10000)
extended warranties from third parties (in Bharat) are mostly a joke, thus not worth looking at. often stories crop up of weird exclusions or reasoning at the time of crises. if the brand itself provides extension without too many exclusions then good!

not used them, but bit of a hit and miss.
names like Midea, Koryo, Wonderchef, Intex and now even old ones like Milton, Bajaj Electricals, Eveready, Wipro (lighting div.) are just trading brands. even core products get imported or contract manufactured by ______ and just the marketing and sales is handled by the brand.
so trading only.
