Sorry for off topic discussion. Need opinion:
I already hold AMEX Gold charge card, AMEX gold credit card, SBI simply save card and HSBC platinum credit card.
Now I want to get one more card and probably that will be my last credit card as I don’t want my CIBIL to get impacted because of n number of credit cards.
HDFC is offering me Regalia First lifetime free while Yes Bank is offering rewards card lifetime free. Citi is another option as their joining perks are good.
Wanted to know which of these card would be better. Please advise.
Compare the points value. Not seen Regalia First, it seems to be a lower version of Regalia. Push HDFC to give you Regalia. Otherwise both seem equal. HDFC usually has better online offers.
Out of curiosity, why do you have Amex Gold Credit card when you have the charge card?
I am a big fan of HDFC Regalia. If you can get that free (and I had it lifetime free), it is a great card. You get a priority pass which gives a few lounge visits free every quarter and the VISA card gives a few more. Unless you a are daily traveler kind of a person, it is usually enough. If you are travelling frequently, you would anyway not want to waste time in a lounge.
What I found is that don’t run after a card, you won’t get it the way you want. Let the card come to you (crazy, right !). Look for a DSA who has put up a stall in the market or in your office and wait for them to approach you. You will get your card, usually free.

1. Yes not bad, take the card whichever u r eligible (for now, future u can upgrade based on your usage)

My friend has a CTC of 2.8 lakhs per annum. He has only SBI CC & DC with CC having a limit of 34,000rs. But recently after demonetization, he is facing problems at several POS due to server issues and some places not accepting Sbi cards. Which is the best option in CC for him? My documents were collected on 13th Jan Friday and received msg on Wednesday 18th still no card or message after that. lucky you
