I booked Kochi to bankok in around 1600 two years back. That was a super cheap trip. However points to consider regarding air asia
1. They charge for baggage. Only 7kg single piece hand baggage is not chargebale every thing else is chargebale.
2. No food and drinks allowed in flight you have to buy everything even water is not free.
3. In bankok they operate from DMK airport and not from BKK. DMK airport is far from city. However public transport is available to commute.
4. They will assign random seats it may be possible that 2 people on same PNR can get different seats. seat selection is chargebale for all type of seats.
5. Seats are little bit congested howevrr manageble for 2-2.5 hrs flight.
6. Finally they are very professional in their services. every thing goes smoothly with them.
Well just to clarify on a few points,
All our domestic aircrafts normally have 30 rows & it’s same with them also, you won’t find 13th row, so they have till 31st row.
It’s almost same with our Spice jet or Indigo, they also offer now a days fare with hand baggage only, which in domestic legs make a difference of just ₹200 only.
Well Don Muang is on the other side of the city and is one of the Oldest airports.
Which is Exclusively used by Air Asia & for domestic flights.
Suvarnabhumi is the New airport. Both the airports are connected with FREE SHUTTLE Bus.
Moreover both Airports are almost at equal distance from city centre, if you compare, then you would find Don Muang nearer

Last year I booked Thailand tickets for Rs 2k return. Today, I again booked Malaysia flights for similar price. Although the starting city is Visakapatnam, I am sure that my flight schedule will change given the travel date is so far. Once that happens, I will get a new flight which starts from my hometown. Did that earlier too so just wanted to give this tip to others.
same thing happened with me but they only offered to change with any oither dates not with any other city.
how did u manage to change city?
