Hello Dimers,
We have evolved from a very basic forum to where we are now… Its a interesting journey and we have learnt a lot from Dimers on what works and what does not work… 
Lately we started with a major upgrade for Desidime where we are consolidating many of the features to provide the most valuable information to Dimers and visitors of the website…
We rolled out the stores and categories page in New design format where all information about a particular store (be it deal, coupon or a discussion thread) nicely tucked on one single page..

We obviously rolled out Chat functionality which is still being worked on and will completely replace PM in next few months.
And now we are moving our efforts towards forums.. DesiDime forums is more than just deal sharing platform or plain vanilla forums… Its the most vibrant place on the internet where any shopaholic would love to be
I am attaching a screenshot of the future Forum thread (Or you can say deal)… Some of the key highlights would be Wiki (Currently Admin/Mod driven Wiki but would soon be more like a Community wiki so all top information is summarised which OP might have missed out on), ability to flag comments, ability to chat with dimers from same window (a better version), ability for the OP to upload images on Desidime server itself (no need to upload on imgur etc..), collapsing of quotes so its easier to read on mobile etc…
We would be bringing on many changes around how deal/coupon is submitted vs how a trade thread is started… We would be using this thread to keep posting regular updates so that way, all of us can together build a better community for the Dimers.
Comments are welcome and please restrict it to only discussion around the screenshot/features posted.

It is very frustrating that i canot access anything below firsttab (categories/deals/…) beecause the drop down automatically opens.. it happens on every page. you seach something and try to access first or second post in search results.. you will see.

Where is all the aesthetics of the mobile web UI gone? Why torture us like this? I mean it. You are torturing us with all the unwanted white space, unnecessarily big buttons for certain things, unimaginably small fonts for certain other things, disproportionate sizing of post box and user info box. Neither the rank nor the badge gets displayed. What is the point of having one? Do something, man! Otherwise I’m leaving DD for good.

I have stopped using deaktop site completely bcoz its not comfortable like it used to be earlier…
That white spaces are annoying i have to say….
@admin I would suggest you to take a poll on old vs new ui…So u can actually find out how many are comfortable with the new ui and changes….

Those are some good suggestions for mobile.
You might agree that the mobile site is aesthetically much better than the previous versions, the fonts, colours etc.
But look at the desktop site.
Guess I should also get back to mobile only. Will stop writing on mobile as my thumb pains a lot.

None of my previous feedbacks have been paid any heed. I have grown accustomed to the apathy more than the UI.
@admin @bumblefoot @Nigel Why have you hidden the badges & ranks of everyone like Critic, Entertainer, Deal Cadet, Subedar, Lieutenant, Major etc? Most importantly how to know whether if a dimer has been suspended or not??

Does it hold any ground now? relevance? Can it be removed for better statistics?
Channel Deal Activity
Can you mention deal link for which alert is sent. Else we just see postman going without knowing the sender & receiver. If on this page it shows deal link we can direct ourselves to trending deals for which alerts are sent
2. There is no feature for Recent posts like you have on App where all recent posts appear & not just recent topics
3. Is their any alert if self deal is promoted to FPD, I mean do we get notified if any of our posted deal is promoted

If we are tagged in some thread on specific page like page 7 … Then by clicking on the notification app doesnt redirect to that particualar post, instead it loads the main thread .

My suggest:
A deal which is already fpd, further suggestions should not be allowed by default.
People should be stopped from posting useless stuff like VUNS,KG, tks etc. What purpose are these going to serve? If anyone wants the OP to know who suggested, let them say so via PM. I’m a moderator in an International Forum, and they don’t tolerate such stuff there.
The discussion in a particular thread should revolve around the particular deal, and not to fill it with garbage posts boasting about karmas and fpd suggestions given, or congratulating the OP for getting his/her first/541st fpd… There are options to express these… Karma logs can tell people who gave Karma, and for what. Likewise, D&D is there to wish people for their fpds, and titles.
Remove the Bought section from the feeds. Fill in with something good.
I highly request you to pls provide EDIT thread option in app and on mobile site too …. After the recent desktop site upgrade editing thread details is PIA ….
I am a regular mobile site user and almost 90℅ my threads/posts are created on mobile site only…. After posting a deal/thread from mobile site , Edit option works only to edit titles etc etc and not the actual deal/thread contents…. So switching to desktop site was the only solution to edit it…. Earlier version of DD desktop site did the job but this new upgrade (popup like window feature) kills it

Even after scrolling entire window down, Save changes option is not available.
This is not a one time thing… it happens everytime…. Pls check this issue and revert me/tag me if there is any solution….

Unfortunately, only such mutual ass-backing keeps DD going. It can never be restricted.

@admin A couple of things that bother me on and off.
(1) Provide us access to our fully activity history instead of redirecting to the feeds page when we click on “More” through our profile pages.
(2) Provide full feed history for at least the last 24 hours for each activity on the feeds page (you can redirect the users to a category-specific page on clicking “More” links).
(3) It seems that the size of the channel alert message has been reduced further recently. Does it dynamically adjust based on the longest channel name? If yes, as I have told you before, this is a horrible situation! You should restrict the channel name to a reasonable size. There is a reason why the SMS protocol uses short codes for names. Don’t discard those best practices when implementing the same service on a different medium. It’s the alert message which matters, not advertising the fancy name of a channel!
