We purchased the iPhone 6 from our local Wal-Mart. It is boxed for Straight Talk, but since it is owned by the same company at Tracfone, it is compatible. We were able to transfer our Tracfone account from an Android GSM phone to this CDMA iPhone 6 with help from customer service. However, getting our Android Tracfone account transferred to the iPhone 6 was not straight forward. We went through 3 1st level customer service support personnel who could not do the transfer, before given an escalation phone number and pin number to higher level support personnel, who were able to complete the transfer successfully. So do not let them tell you that it cannot be done. We were told that the reason was that there were no CDMA towers in our area, and it had to be a GSM phone. There are plenty, as one of our phones is on Verizon CDMA, and we live in a city area. I argue

 I argued this with the 3rd rep until they provided me with the escalation, as they were very certain that they were correct. Anyways, we wanted an iPhone on Tracfone for a long time, and at a decent price. We got an iPhone 6 for a reasonable price and were able to transfer all Tracfone accumulated minutes, data, and text to the new iPhone 6 using the SIM card that came with it, which is actually a Tracfone SIM card, that can be used for Straight Talk. I recommend this phone, but hope that 1st level Tracfone service personnel will be better trained on how to transfer a Tracfone account to the new phone for activation.

They won’t ship to India and even they do, you have to pay 40% tax and high shipping fee. It’s not worth it, else you need to ship to the US itself. For unlocking purpose you can use this sim tray
