If you’re in Pune (not sure about the other cities), you get to see this in the exhibitions on agriculture or engineering grounds and it is as expensive as quoted i.e. 3k

i received this product yesterday in poor package with missing handle and in DOD state. I have raised a case with indiatimes and i am not sure whether this is going to be of any use

Did anybody buy this tandoor? What is the size of tandoor and quality? Normally they are ~20 inch deep, 10 inch wide and 6-7 inch high

I have bought a similar looking tandoor from a trade fair in chennai for Rs 3400.
Brand: Mini Chef (i was told the same company produces under name Big Chef also). It looks same as the pic of this product.
The quality is good, you can make most of tandoori items. My main purpose was chicken tandoori & tikka. It came out okay.. lets say better than i expected…still wont match the stuff made in actual tandoors.
The main reason is actual tandoors produces temperatures close to 400-500 deg celsius.
But the maximum these electrical tandoors can generate is 250 – 350 (as per manual). THis is for Big Chef and mini chef. While i was researching …there were couple of them like In-Pro I guess that could generate only around 150 -200 degrees. So make sure that these could atleast generate above 250 degrees if your main intention is tandoori non-veg items:-D
