@CR7 you might want to update the details of the model as #GC2048/30
(because there is a similar GC2048/80 which sells in other markets and gets imported too)

thank you for making the effort to share this offer/deal.

can not list it as a Pro/Con list, but some pointers i feel might be relevant;

→ it has an acceptable build quality and look in so far as present day models go.
> > > the exact port of origin or cord/plug design may vary from market to market. [I’ve used the 2048/80 sold in South-East Asia (and even in the U.K.) and designed for British/Indian power supply]

→ these aren’t exactly ‘heavy’ in absolute terms, if referenced against the older type irons that one might be used to.
> > As in, as recently as 2014-15, the Black and Decker ones we bought had mostly a metal body and those thick plates that distribute heat equally (the coil isn’t concentrated in one area alone). now B&D is also made in India, but the imported ones had the European Type F plug.
> > depending on individual preferences, being heavy versus being toy like, it can be a Pro or a Con.

→ I feel that even at this (offer) price it is 8-10% higher than the most economical price, for something with two years warranty only.
> > roughly, 2300watt @ 2300INR https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif ±10% gives us a ballpark number# 2530INR.
> > It would have been a great price, had the warranty been say; 3 years. (they do so only on trimmers and such personal care products).
> > even in the heavily taxed market like the EU (check Amazon.co.uk listing) 2048/80 is selling for equivalent of 2500INR approximately.

→ may be it is just me (or one or two other family members) but i found that the placement of the nozzles/holes for steam delivery and its curvature makes a large volume of the steam dissipate away from the intended area. It sort of leaks out at the edges than reach the garment.
> > you can have a look at the sole plate design and placement of the steam holes by checking this link → https://youtu.be/ncr0mgxFnGY?t=4m57s
> > this model does NOT have the steam tip feature/ design element or the SteamGlide Plus thing like the Azur or other models. But this is still a good model if seen by itself.

→ all in all, if one has personal comfort with the brand and are okay with the design, then this is a fairly good buy.
> > however, do note that in some scenarios 2300 watts is an overkill of sorts.

→ immaterial of whichever model or brand you buy, please do follow the de-calcination guidelines and procedures.
> > The GC2048 does not have the jazzy ‘Double active calc clean’ feature but does have self clean procedure that needs manual intervention to help clean the deposits over time.

→ the GC2068 is the closest in the cordless version of this model. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif

@@@CR7@@
also update one crucial detail which is also a BIG downer in this https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif

the power cord is only about 1.2 mtr https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif .. yup, about four feet only.

so it might need the extension lead cord to maneuver.
