The dimensions of this suitcase make it ineligible as a carry-on. Most airlines cap the sum total of dimensions to 115cms, while these models are 119cms. And they would probably be too small as a check-in luggage (for travel lasting for a week or more).
I think the discount was offered only because of the same reasons.
