ok sir.
btw at what price you bought 120gb SSD? can you share the performace details here after using SSD into your machine? also do mention your laptop machine config too so one analyze better.
I had bought the 120gb ssd for my desktop computer couple of years back for around 4000 rupees, the speed of bootup and shutdown and overall application performance has improved a lot, so better to go with ssds for your deskop and laptops….
I need some help in this regard. I’ve 0 knowledge abt these ssds. I’ll share my laptop config after reaching home. But first thing..is it required to remove the existing 1TB SATA HDD to install this SSD?
if there is any M.2 SSD slot on your laptop motherboard, then you dont need to remove HDD. do share your machine config here, community will try to help you..
Purchase from Ali express
You will get better deal.
Not warranty thought.
Got samgsung SSD Evo 860 250gb for 2600.
what if, we receive DOA? is it not very difficult refund?
i bought 1tb sandisk ssd in 4000 rupees 6 mnth back still working great
1 tb SSD? Where did you buy, 4k is a great price
Make MRP 50K and sell it 99% discount
Can u tell me which one is best buy for my dell inspiron 15 core i3 4th gen 500gb HDD 4gb ram? I am really irritated from its slow speed.
Also is it sure that it will fit in my laptop I have dvd drive in it though
I suppose there r two sizes for DVD drives. Most come with 9.5mm thickness and caddy description will describe it. Just ensure your DVD drive thickness is 9.5mm and order the 9.5mm caddy.
Prices have dropped further. Bought Kingston A400 240GB SSD at 2699/- after offer 6 months ago.
I bought 1tb 14999 2 weeks ago. My 1tb hdd gone. So i bought 1tb ssd samsung 860 evo. Its awesome. I installed a fresh windows 10 and after installing all my applications it took less than 10 seconds to start less than 5 seconds to shutdown. Now 1tb ssd price reduced 250rs.
Crucial mx500 1TB is available for 10.5-11.5k regularly. Did you not consider it? Samsung 860 QVO is available for 10k but best avoid QLC unless its primarily to be used for games installation.
Crucial MX500 250GB/500GB in the last few days has fallen to as low as $39/60 at Amazon USA. Here the price of the M.2 variant has reduced by ~Rs 700 in the last 10-15 days and continues to do so.
Few months ago I bought crucial mx500….
Working super fine…laptop reboots takes few secs!
i bought crucial bx500 240gb at 2090 offline
best overall among all under 3k
Its QLC NAND based. Since TLC based ones are only a few hundred rupees cheaper they are the better buy from a reliable performance POV. But QLC is great as an HDD replacement option.
I have an asus laptop r558uq(screenshot below). Is this lappy support ssd? If yes. Which is better? Looking for 240 gb ssd.
P.s. bought from local store @ 43000rs 2 years ago.
Yes it will support.
Good deal, I just brought one from Aliexpress 240gb at 1800 along with 12.7mm caddy. Performance is good, but feels like I should have gone for 512
product link please.
Even though deal is not good but this post served the purpose. One suggestion, unless you get a laptop on a deal price better you always try to buy a laptop with SSD of even 128gb storage then buy 3.0 hard disk of 2tb as many as you want.
I have a hp bs145tu(i5 8th gen)
And it has a m2 slot.
I want 240 gigs ssd. Which one is best and comparatively cheap?
Which one should i go for and why?
Go for m.2
M.2 2242 link anyone ?
I am looki g forward to buy 1 tb ssd at 3000
if i get samsung 970 evo plus 250gb ssd for 4000rs…is it a good deal
Any bank cash back?
Custom duty maybe be charged on it depending on your luck.
and very much possibility that the custom officer will refer amazon.in price and charge 42% on it..
So its a risky affair to buy SSD from china.
chances are there for custom duty…but in the past i bought a bluetooth speaker , mi tv box…and they came without any taxes…ssd box must be smaller as compared to above items ..so i think it will go unnoticed as it will priced less on the packaging…so it also might get through
SVE15113ENW Sony Vaio have a M2 slot?
If yes I want to install 120 GB wd ssd.
Very unlikely considering your laptop is from 2012? & the M.2 specification was finalised in late 2013 and commercialization took even longer. At best an mSATA slot can be expected tbough the official specs list doesn’t mention it. mSATA is a dead end in any case. Only Samsung, Kingston and Adata appear to be selling years old models. Since they are a niche item they haven’t benefited from the price crash afforded to their 2.5" and M.2 counterparts and consequently pretty expensive still. Your best bet is to swap the HDD with a 2.5" SATA drive. If you don’t care for the DVD drive and/or need the HDD you could always get a caddy for it.
@rcduke
Nothing special. Prices have been same more or less(I’ve been keeping a tab on this since long). In fact in the last sale around 1-2 week back it was available even cheaper(+ there was additional bank discount of 10%). I purchased a 120gb SSD in that sale. And now I wanted a 240GB drive and after seeing this post I got excited but when I checked the price I’m hugely disappointed. This deal-post is pathetic.
