The bottom line is that someone is offering 8MP camera phone for 2300 rupees and still making money, or at least breaking even (valid assumption) Hence the product quality has to be low, accept it!

Dude I am nowhere saying that its not a good deal.. all I am sayin is that people should be prepared for an OK quality if they buy cheap products.. There is no comparison between Samsung and Videocon.. Samsung is a global conglomerate which has focus on cell phone/ tablet market now and that’s where it gets 50% of its revenues.. It would have better manufacturing/ sourcing and economies of scale.. Videocon will just have a Chinese tie-up to source certain models that have its brand.. Everyone plays the MRP game.. You get Chinese android tablets for 4.5k everywhere and a Samsung Galaxy tab P1000 (launched at >35k and now available at 25k) but you cannot compare the two..

PS – I have worked int he cell phone business.. MRP’s can be as inflated is 4 times the real cost to the company (example: Acer mobiles, real worth of a touch screen phone was 6k and the MRP was ~24k, I sold it for 10k making 4k per phone)

Anyone would be upset if you pay that much and there are niggles. Buy it if you like, ignore it if you dont. At this price if the phone works well, it would be a lottery. If it doesnt, well sell the DTH connection for 1k, and the phone for 1k, your loss would be just 299/-.

Camera resolution and screen resolution are totally two different things. Though I have bought one, I also read somewhere about its 176*240 resolution. And I think it’s true. I knew I had taken a risk. But, lets see how does 176*240 look on a 3.2" screen. If camera is ok, we can see the actual picture in computer. In phone picture will look blurred. I also want to check the audio quality on this phone. I am just keeping my fingers crossed. (but I already seem to feel it’s not going to be very good) nevertheless…lets see…

I cancelled my order after reading all bad reviews, it was my mistake i haven’t notice the display resolution is too low.

Anybody know how they return money, if it was paid through credit card ?

Well after going through all those comments of yall… I just went through details of this phone and I saw that many websites are selling it at approx 6k still..Now if one of them starts selling it at approx 2k(maybe this is the wholesale rate) then why are many people making a fuss of it…Coz if it would have been 6k instead of 2.3k then I think no one of these people have said a word against it… Here’s I am presenting a list of websites selling/sold this mobile.
