My suggestion would be to go with steel versions. Glass versions are Aesthetically good but not durable.
Which brand to go for?
Glass version are brittle…if you mistakenly put the hot object on it…glass will break….I gifted the glass version to my mama…they learned the hard way
I guess it would break if you immediately try to clean it with a wet cloth. Glass cant handle sudden temperature changes. Another thumb rule is the more the thickness of the glass the more durable it will be( >8mm ). Been using Glen’s 4 burner glass stove since 1.5 yrs after being paranoid about purchasing one.
Wonderchef products seem to be simply chinese imports. Bought their non stick cookware and the look was fabulous but sadly the thickness of the pans is 2.5mm not 3mm like prestige etc. This gas stove also is smaller and lighter than similar ones of other brands, due to cost saving in transportation maybe. At this price its great of course, but still i preferred to buy the elica vetro 703 for 2999 less 10% card offer. At least its made here in Pune and has an ISI mark.
On flipkart, Butterfly gas stove with 3 burners is mentioned as Best Seller. Any idea about how trustable and durable this brand is?
No idea about gas stoves but we used butterfly cookers in my childhood. They are thick and strong. Handles are still intact even after 20 years. We still have them in store room (not using though).
I bought a local brand glass stove named Sandoz 7 year back… No issues so far.. you just need to be careful while cleaning, don’t clean when the stove is hot…
