Trump addressed the 73rd UN Assembly lauding India for the great work in reducing poverty

In his speech at the 73rd session of the United Nations General Assembly, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday praised India saying, “There is India, a free society (of) over a billion people, successfully lifting countless millions out of poverty and into middle class.”

Seems according to a UN Report reported by TOI, India has lifted as many as 271 mil people out of poverty dropping the poverty rate from 55% to 28%over the past decade (between 2005 – 2016)

Was check the United Nation in India siite, not sure if it is the official site, but it says there has been tremendous growth over the last two decades, and the poverty line has dropped from 45% to 22% between 1994 and 2012 and close to 133 million Indians have been lifted out of poverty in that period: http://in.one.un.org/poverty-and-urbanis...n/

We here of farmer suicides due to debts and the middleman is growing poorer with taxes, fuel and other expenses.. not sure if that figure will get better or worse.. your take?
