All about IC15 : Cryptowire has Launched India’s First Crypto Index IC15

IC15 is Indian's very first cryptocurrency index which is launched by global cryptocurrency super app Cryptowire. IC15 will help crypto traders & investors to understand the cryptocurrency trending ecosystem and also provide the key insights around global crypto markets.

IC15 monitors the performance of top 15 most traded cryptocurrencies listed on leading crypto exchanges worldwide. Cryptowire has developed the IC15 index in India by seeing a massive growth of the crypto market among Indians despite concerns about crypto regulation act. IC15 will help increase awareness & knowledge of cryptocurrency or it’s relevant assets and blockchain technology ecosystem.

The framework of IC15 Crypto index includes the following points -

1. The governance committee (IGC) includes academians, crypto practitioners, domain experts.

2. IGC will monitor, maintain the index and reshuffle it’s top 15 cryptocurrencies from time to time.

3. For a Cryptocurrency to be listed on IC15, it needs to be traded at least 90% of the trading day during the review.

4. To be listed on IC15, the cryptocurrency should remain in the top 50 in terms of circulating market capitalization during the preceding month.

5. Also the crypto must have to be among the top 100 most liquid cryptocurrencies in terms of trading value.

6. IC15 index will be monitored, reviewed & rebalanced each quarter.

7. Base value of IC15 is 10,000 USDT.

8. Base date for IC15 is 1st April, 2018.

9. Top 4 leading tokens on IC15 are Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance and Solana.

10. Stable coins are not eligible for IC15.
