How is this any better than a hotspot from a 5g device with jio SIM or a JioFi hotspot device?

I think, jio air fiber have different plans than mobile which works only when sim inserted in Jio Air Fiber device.
I hope it has an Ethernet port so we can connect it to our better Wi-Fi 6 router.

It is just like jiofi hot spot device the speed entirely depends on the network availability and strength of the 5G network of the location in which we are keeping this jio airfiber device. So basically it is network dependent not directly connected to the satellite like starlink.

Yes, correct. It would most likely need a Jio SIM inserted and the plans would differ.

We do not have good internet coverage of jio in my locality. We need to go outside of the house to do a phone call, the Internet speed is more or less 200 to 500kbps per second. I have a broadband connection but it's a private vendor and costly. Will this Jio Air fiber work in area with low network latency?

Since mobile connectivity of Jio is bad inside your premises, most probably AirFiber will give poor connection too. As it will be using those mobile towers only to provide connection. If you get 5G connection at your home, test that out, you will get to know how good is 5G indoors.
For example we get 500-1Gbps on 5G at our location, however some friends have complained of getting very poor speed on Jio 5G at their home (same city).
Your best bet should be to get some Fiber based broadband connectivity, whatever provider is available.
