The highly anticipated sequel of the movie Oh My God is expected to release directly on an OTT platform instead of Theatres in India. OMG 2 stars Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi, and Yami Gautam in lead roles, and is Directed by Amit Rai.
The reason for this move by producers is expected to be the recent box-office flops delivered by Akshay Kumar in Selfiee, Bachchhan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan, and Ram Setu. One more reason can be the absence of veteran Paresh Rawal who was the soul of the 1st part.
Akshay Kumar is well known as ‘Khiladi’ which means bouncing back no matter what so he will definitely hope for a theatrical release of OMG 2 for his fans as well as for Bollywood movie lovers.
People working in this project have confirmed that these are rumors, but you never know what games are played inside the producers camp!
If these rumors are true then Oh My God 2 will be released directly on JioCinema or Voot around May 2023. JioCinema recently streamed the Fifa World Cup for Free, and is now all set to Live Stream the IPL 2023 again for Free! Thus, you might get to Watch OMG 2 for Free, you never know!
In my and many of netizens opinion, OMG 2 has the potential of doing well at the box-office given the success of Oh My God and its popularity even after 13 years now.
