1st one is Modem + Router while the 2nd one is just a router.

the former(8101g) has both modem and wi-fi built in it and the later(wr740n) is just a wi-fi; you will require a separate modem with it.

For that matter, even pepperfry is in its beta state..havent shopped with shopclues though..i placed only two orders with pepperfry so far, its been 5 days yet no sign of shipping..

One is a g router + modem, the other is an n router.

N routers have approximately double range.

Meaning if you have a g router, you can take your laptop/phone almost 50 feet away and still stay connected. But with an n router you have the freedom of a 100 feet, and even more depending on the building ( too many walls obstruct the wifi signals).

I would want to go with 2050… newer in series….
