AliExpress : 6th Anniversary Sale

If someone want to write a guide of things to care of while ordering frim Aliexpress. I my self ordered 2 times never got delivered though got the refund. It was way before and I don’t know about Ae much that time and still don’t know much. Here is what i heard other dimer saying.
1. Buy from good seller with 90 + rating.
2. Tell the seller to under value the product (that’s risky though in case like if you tell to under value a mobile)
3. Tell seller to mention tracking no on Box.
4. Avoid buying large or costly stuff.
5. You can also tell seller to send as gift to avoid customs.
Still I don’t know difference bw using chaina post and Aliexpress standard shopping and many other stuff.

just added credit card . not even asked for cvv code and payment was done. how can this be possible. I thought atleast cvv code is mandatory for non Indian websites

I already have paid for 2 orders. not asked single time also. just filled front side of card details then order successful messages received.

Using aliexpress for the past few days. Bought xiaomi hybrid earphones today for around 1200 with coupon. If you want good earphones look for them. Still not yet available in India and it has good reviews.

I previously used to order from Amazon.com when they hadn’t started in India yet. After just entering card details and CVV, order was placed. Though haven’t ordered from Aliexpress until now, will order some products for the first time and check it. Find another article in which one dimer had posted a lot of details about seller rating, how to raise a claim for refund when product not received within 60 days etc.

@MovieSeeker has created a lot of threads for Aliexpress in DD and has more knowledge as he has ordered quite a few times. He might be able to shed more light on Aliexpress and deals…..

Also @Annamalai Nārāyaṇa has quite some knowledge regarding Aliexpress.

Whoever has any knowledge about Aliexpress, please share it with us. It will be quite helpful.

Edited – I have seen iPhone 6 in flash deals today for $299. Is it ok to buy it if available again tomorrow?

Card number, card holder name and Expiry date is enough to place the order
Billing address should match the address you gave to the bank
Its the same for amazon.com too

Yes .. i was looking for iPhone 5s but now the prices have shot upto 19k-20k and saw that iPhone 6 was available for around same price in Aliexpress. Why not go for the better deal??

you have to pay custom tax for higher price products beware of that honestly don’t know how they calculate but I was asked 500₹ tax for a 360₹ wireless headset . got more than 50 products all below 500₹ didn’t get any tax expect that one. so if your buying higher cost item it’s a risk cause custom tax. custom tax nothing to do with Aliexpress so it’s difficult to get refund from Aliexpress.if you get too much of custom tax.

alibaba you have to deal with seller directly but Aliexpress is like Flipkart .

so alibaba is like india mart?

yes shipping and custom tax . no way to ship custom tax.

don’t buy in hurry from aliexpress, almost all the products are not branded, bought several products with good reviews and ratings but they work either slow or they stopped working after sometime. if it is branded they will mention it clearly, then only buy. if the item is not as per specification, immediately mark return. 80% of my purchase gave me bitter experience (all non branded). be very careful with aliexpress. minimum 15days will be taken for reaching your order.

ha ha Rs.15 item with free shipping to india , still you need branded , you should shop on ebay India only
