Its been 60 days now and i didnt received my order, should i open dispute ? seller has increased purchase protection time, and they r saying me to wait 20 days more. Should i wait or open dispute ?

I’ve ordered a toy drum kit in aliexpress worth 25$, received it yesterday, to my shock and surprise, i got a customs bill for Rs.2100 which is more than 100% (the price i have paid for the actual product is 1700 only,) moreover the parcel was opened completely, and it was simply wrapped with jute in careless manner, by gods grace no part was stolen!!!. i wonder how people manage without paying customs duty, so beware of ordering costly items in aliexpress.

Aliexpress is best to order mobile phone covers, screen protectors, tempered glass like things which are not expensive

here is what will happen, sooner or later you will receive your product and will receive the refund too (from the opened dispute , if you selected full refund solution).

so you will be getting your refund in any case since seller will not be able to show any proof of delivery to aliexpress. and since the product was shipped too….so there is no returning of that….so you will receive that too

Also, you will receive a lot if sugar coated messages from seller… asking you to cancel/ close the dispute. Never ever do that, if you do then game is over and you can’t do anything about your money.

you get your money and get the product too…
you can send him money if your conscience doesn’t let you sleep (mine let’s me sleep easily, iInever return the money)… so ball will be in your court…btw none of the sellers will reach you and please you to return the money…remember you are too small a concern for them
..their main business is wholesale/ bulk customes , they don’t have much time to waste on you

you get your money and get the product too…
you can send him money if your conscience doesn’t let you sleep (mine let’s me sleep easily, iInever return the money)… so ball will be in your court…btw none of the sellers will reach you and please you to return the money…remember you are too small a concern for them

According to Custom electronic item above Rs. 2000 cannot be imported via post and it will be confiscated by them and liable for penalty amd approx. 42% duty if you want to release it.

In my experience, it is the size of the parcel rather than the amount which attracts the Customs. If the size of the parcel is large & value is less, it best be avoided and purchase it locally. I have imported many Phones & Tabs and had them invoiced at above $200 (they were worth more than $300-$700) and each of the times, I had to pay customs of less than 10% (Highest I had to pay was $50 for a phone worth $699 & other times only $20); so it is better to import larger expensive items as the duty will be reasonable.

Have had bad experience with larger/less value items and returned the parcel twice. Once I bought Brainwave earphones and had to pay 100% Customs while I returned PowerBank because it had attracted duty of 150%. So have decided to avoid larger/less value items (However, have imported baby clothes many times and never faced any problems- are they exempt from duty?)

Yes, if it gets detained in Customs, they will open it and then wrap it haphazardly with a twine/jute and seal it off.

It is showing the delivery time is between 15 to 60 days.. Any idea about the normal time? If it is 60 days, it is little bit lengthy
