Never cancel requested ride from your side. The drivers are penalised for refusing rides. so they always trying to fool the customer into cancelling ride.
Clearly tell the driver that you will not cancel under any circumstances. He must come or refuse from his side or you will complain against him with Uber.

I called driver around 25 times. He didn’t picked up the phone. I was with my family at a malavni(very isolated place in Mumbai) it was 11pm. No vehicle around so became impatient. I almost waited 10-15 minutes after booking first time. Even activated emergency SOS. Situation was very suspicious. Uber don’t have direct call center. They ask you to email. Driver wasn’t taking call but his car was changing place at a very suspicious manner. Like teleporting 😂😂. It was a worst experience, don’t depend on uber is difficult situation. Finally, by God’s grace public bus was passing and it was luckily to my place.
This is a loophole in uber which drivers are exploiting!!
