Even SBI charges against deposits in other branches. IOB allows free deposits anywhere.

ICICI-Worst Bank in India. Don’t ever trust this Bank as Main bank account. At least some day n some time their customer feels a lot n lot for having ICICI account due to their sucking customers blood policies.
Its my primary bank since 1999. Never had a problem.
I always deposit cheque at branch and also take acknowledgement.

Well, you must have a love affair with your branch 😁 But there are those amongst us who don’t have time or inclination to visit any branch, esp during working hours. Right from parking issues, it is a huge hassle. In this era, unless you can do most things online, or at least with 24 hr dropbox, it’s a medieval bank.
I think it’s applicable for ALL banks.. Unless you deposit it from your own branch.
ok, now let us comeback to the topic… anybody received cashback for last offer??
Is this offer applicable for the one used the offer 10% CB Max of Rs.500. Anyone plz ??
@BUTTERFLYBOY
All I get after clicking on SMS tab is “failure”. This is years old now. Since I still get all necessary SMS I left it at that.

Yes that is how most private banks operate to keep operating costs minimal and to make profits. You should be aware of those rules and shouldn’t be blaming them for that. Who would want to go to the bank to deposit 500 everyday? If you have so much time to go to a bank to deposit 500 everyday consider opening an account in some PSU banks and SBI should be available in most places.
^ HaHa… @ranjithsai01 I know how you must be feeling now.

lol, I let ignorant be ignorant. He doesn’t even know that RBI only has provided such powers and all banks can implement those rules if they choose too. Maybe he might not even know that RBI only decided to take away unlimited ATM withdrawals (of course as per slabs). No pun intended and we all are ignorant but shouldn’t choose to be ignorant for ever.
Bro for you kind info savings accounts are for savings and not everyday transactions. Current account is the one which is used for everyday transactions. And by the way that was not advice that was only info. I don’t give free advise

There is a basic difference between a Savings and a Current account. A savings account is for limited deposit and withdrawal, an account for the normal users incl salaried persons. current account permits unlimited deposit and withdrawals. The type of account suitable for business persons, including small traders. All banks charge for exceeding the number of deposits and withdrawals permitted in a savings account. Does not matter whether it is private or PSU bank.
Some banks now have automatic cash deposit machines. I believe PNB has one near my area. Do they allow unlimited or higher cash deposit at these places?
While one can understand limited cash deposits to keep operating costs low, banks like hdfc charge even for single deposit even at home branch by third party. So if your friend or whatever deposits for you you have to pay.

this is why white people ruled india for years…these guys will always support foreign companies no matter what their module for looting indians may be ,instead of raising voice or support whats right they will keep giving advise
Dude please grow up. Are they forcing you to avail their services or is there a monopoly? You have all sorts of accounts and various banks (added to it the RBI has started payment banks to break monopoly) to suit your needs. You can’t expect to get iphone at redmi price and blame all iphone users for supporting these “foreign” companies. (lol even redmi is from a chinese company)
By the way who told you HDFC is a foreign bank or for that purpose most of the big private banks in India are domestic owned. Also remove that foreign companies thing from your mind. If it wasn’t for them you wouldn’t be typing this message here on DD. Most of the things we are using and enjoying today is because of them.
Do you think foreign companies only loot? Check around you and you will know that the reality is a lot different. British ruling India was not just because of Indians supporting them, it was more because of Indians hating each other.

Blow me down! Do you think Indians rule India now? It’s still the western big brothers ruling the rest of the world.
And it’s not because of people supporting private banks but because of morons like you who do not know what they are talking about.
@ranjithsai01 simply explained how things work in HDFC (and other banks). He was neither supporting them nor opposing them. Different banks cater to the needs of different people and he just made hemal aware of it. How the hell you connect it to the Europeans ruling us for years or raising one’s voice against corporate tyranny?!

Everyone calm down…if its rbi norm then no point in questioning multinational banks charges…sorry to raise the point…i guess this thread is meant for icici pocket discounts so lets close this off topic discussions
