(non touch version)Ebay 3999 http://www.ebay.in/itm/Kobo-Glo-N613-KBO-P-6-eR…
the first time you power it on it has 2 options…
connect to PC
connect to wireless
when you connect to wireless it starts updating the firmware…..was time consuming….
initially it downloaded one update, which took considerable time. then when this update was installed it downloaded another update (this download happened much faster)
so now my software version is : 3.12.1 (c1198635ca, 1/29/15)
It also has some pre-installed Beta Features
Web Browser
Sketch Pad
Games include Chess, Sudoku, Unblock It, Solitaire and Word Scramble

What router do you have?
I had an issue with my Asus TF101 tablet connecting to my DLINK cloud router. Found a fix – the router was configured (auto) to use any available channel and it was using channel 13. I had to manually assign the router to use channel 11 (basically any channel below 12) for some devices to work. Then it worked.
Not sure if you have the same issue though.

This problem is usually resolved by using a password for your wireless network.
Do you use password for your wifi?
If not, then set a password and 99% chances your problem will be resolved.

e-ink is b/w…..coloured e-ink is presently not available on mobile devices….there has been instances of colour-changing e-ink being used in wallpapers..
its saying out of inventory when check using pincode
Can we read kindle ebooks on this? Meaning, is kindle android app install-able on this?

Nopes you can’t directly do it. Instead you can use Calibre to convert the books on your Amazon Kindle store to ePub and push it into Kobo.
Btw, Kobo supports far more formats of eBooks than any other ebook reader in the market.
Received a 5% discount code from Croma max. CB capped to Rs 500. “WELCOME5” Looks like a generic code.
Ordered one for my son. He already have a Kindle. Price was too good. Will be a backup.

You ordered it on Croma during the 1999 deal price or on ebay? Few lucky dimers ordered this Glo version on Croma. I ordered it on ebay for 3500

I too returned at 2% loss to Croma – Croma cancellation policy is a 2% deduction and also 75 bucks gone from shipping – net net about Rs. 200 loss (I ordered when it was ~6k in Croma). The package is still struck with Bluedart as they have crappy policy of returning to shipper only after 7 days even if the consignee refuses to accept – called CC and what not – no use. So technically my money is still with Croma
Re-ordered from eBay for 3600 (4k was list price – used 10% discount coupon), should get the Kobo Glo today hopefully delivered to my office and tomorrow in my hands
i bought the kobo glo from ebay with the 10% discount

Ah I see. Thanks for the info. I was wondering if it was an actual return and not a cancellation.
