Unlocked phone means it is not locked to any particular network operators.
In USA/UK, phones are normally locked with a particular network provider so you can not use any other network without getting it unlocked first.

With unlocked phones, you can use it with any network like VodaFone, Airtel etc.

Is it worth taking the risk guys??? Very tempting deal.

Its a killer deal hands down like pantech(kudos to OP) but I would like to share a piece of advice. Although the device specs looks much higher on paper comparing to moto G (as other user suggested) the performance gain will not be exponentially same.

Older LTE chips are too power hungry even with 4G off and LG’s last official firmware is 4.1.2. Customs roms are available but due to unavailability of latest kernel sources the full potentional cannot be unleashed leading it to a mid range category of moto G/xperia sp. but nexus 4 still sits in another league with its latest 4.4

It will run any game you throw at it hands down but users buying should understand that occasional lags n low battery life may occur. and last time I checked optimus G and nexus 4 didnt supported USB OTG.

I have nothing against the deal(thinking to upgrade my pantech with it) but I thought sharing this will help users decide what they are buying

Do you think then Nexus 4 at just above 20k is much better with latest OS updates? For those willing to pay 6k extra for service and latest OS?

ppobox is still best as they deal in custom themselves but recently guys importing have started to cheat claiming purchase value low and pay less custom duty beforehand and later ppo were paying extra amount and this was even shared by some dimer as trck

hog shop or ishop charges only shipping and custom is paid by you on getting item. everyone else is same, you get item sometimes late sometimes on before estimated date.

Bhai which is the best place to buy through ppobox? Amazon.com or is there better price anywhere else? Calculated with amazon price i.e., 202$ and including customs and shipping coming around 14k only. So GEB only may be hassle free option.

But does sns have the same inconsistencies as ppobox.
I read in the above thread that ppobox misplaced iPhone 5s of 2 persons.

I wish to buy this mobile with my amazon credit. It is an amazing device for this price.

@marketdimer, 189.99$ mentioned there and quote on ppobox is 1750 rs nearly. Translates to 13.5 K min. I may still be missing the local shipping cost. GEB is the best option i think.

both nexus 4 and LG optimus g have the same chip they use same power just that 4g is disabled in nexus 4 .. obviously nexus 4 has a huge community so they are able to optimize it Much faster..

why are you even comparing it with moto g ? those two are in different leagues.. moto g is not even in the competetion.. difference between adreno 305 and adreno 320 is massive.. more than 100% difference..
moto g is a weak phone a lumia 520, xperia m is much better than moto g in preformance.. what moto g excells in bringing build qualiy, great 720 p display, decent performance, google support all at a good price from an international reputed OEM

see this it already has so many android 4.4.2 custom roms..

even 3 year old phones have android 4.4 like motorola defy.. nexus 4 has a huge huge fast development that’s the only advantage.. development in optimus g is a little slow. that doesnt mean nexus 4 is in a different league of its own compared to optimus g ..

yaar Mr A, 520 for me is thrash. opera mini/chrome loads on crap 500 MHz ideos u8150 much much faster in compare to lumia 520 internet explorer or uc browser. I am pretty sure moto g will be much better as opera or chrome could run on it and not ie api or engine supported slow browsers.

BTW, any suggestions for fast browsers on lumia 520?
