Buying such an expensive gadget through Ebay is safe? What if something goes wrong? Worth the risk?

No offence to OP though and I have already voted up the thread but just asking.

There will always be a risk buying from ebay. But the seller seems decent. Got a lot of positive feedbacks. Some of the negative feedbacks seeme to be the coz of stupid buyers. People are dumb in general.

If you really wish to buy this or something similarly expensive from ebay, just make sure you buy from a trusted seller with good number of positive feedbacks. If he has negatuve feedbacks, check it out and see if the seller was at fault or if the buyer just got pissed at some stupid reason and left -ve feedback. Make sure to clear all your doubts with the seller before you buy the item. And once ordered, when it comes for delivery, use your smartphone to make a video when you accept the box from the courier guy. Ask him to wait a few minutes and open the box and check everything there and then. If there is some fault, get the delivery guy to acknowledge it on video. That would help in the rare chance if item is faulty or incorrect.

This is ofcourse only viable if you are getting some major savings with buying from ebay. Otherwise stick to other portals like amazon flipkart etc for big ticket items. Though you wont get a 100% guarantee there either.

Well said. I was not actually looking to buy this particular product but right now my concern is buying Samsung S6 edge for the cheapest price possible. I would love to get the 32GB version for somewhere around Rs.50k or lesser if possible from a safe and secure website. I bought the iPhone 6 Plus from Flipkart(seller WS Retail) and everything went in flawless but again that was Flipkart’s official seller. Its not like I haven’t ordered anything from eBay, I have ordered a LED TV but again the sellers are different and I was very skeptical during that purchase too, luckily it got delivered in perfect condition.

But as the price of the product increases, my concern also increases but again to get those discounts, I believe I will have to take the risk? What do you think? Could I find a better price somewhere right now or waiting a little more?
