That moment which all the Android enthusiasts have been waiting for is finally here. OnePlus is going to grace the Indian smartphone market with its presence at last. The company has sent out invites for the much-awaited event going to be held on 2nd December, where it will launch the company’s blockbuster OnePlus One.

Pricing, which is one of the most important parts of OnePlus One’s success, has also been a mystery for the Indian market. However, as we reported earlier, the 64 GB variant is expected to cost around Rs. 24,990 while the 16 GB variant is likely to come at a price of Rs. 19,990.

The OnePlus One is one complete device when it comes to hardware and build quality. Thanks to the inclusion of CyanogenMod, the ROM gives Android an adrenaline boost with regular updates and bug fixes. For a price sensitive market like India, the cost of the phone will be a major factor. In an interaction with The Indian Express, the company claimed that the invite system will prevent shortage of devices for potential customers in India. The invite process is also fair and transparent than the flash sale model.

If you are successful in getting an invite a spanking new OnePlus One will await you at : www.amazon.in/onep...ne on the 2nd of December 2014.

A Big big update. OnePlus One won’t be supported by Cyanogen in India due to exclusive deal with Micromax.
In February there shall be a new update that shall replace cyanogen in Indian devices. It’s a big blow as Cyanogen is a big part of the OPO appeal.

Hope god by himself doesnt run this company.. how is it going to make a difference is the owner doing charity to the community? all these online companies are miniting money by creating hype that doesnt exists and the stupid people who are in a hurry to showoff lose their mind and run behind these stuff..

+ 1

Big NO NO for Flash Sale.

Such companies do not wish to take GOOD CARE of After Sales Service & thus prefer Online Route to handle Phone Calls (by siting at Unknown place or place where Buyer him/her- self can’t go & catch them) & thus they avoid Retail Sales (Open Sale in Market).

very true I am bloody stuck up with this Moto G. They have 3-4 service centers in bangalore. Every service center is bloody crowded as they support 4-5 brands and you have to wait for hours together to talk to the receptionist then she will say fill this form give it to us wait blah blah.. More over these guys irrespective of the issue their standard diagnostics is to reset it to the factory defaults, upgrade the firmware and reinstall the OS. Again you have to waste your entire saturday stand in queue reproduce the issue in front of them and wait for their repair works to complete.

How about posting a deal once in a while on a deal website rather than crying about everything all the time?

there are 0 as of now.

And we know how these makeshift third party service centres work.

1-3 months to repair,more problems after repairing,no proper infrastructure,damages to device,heavy rush.

Oneplus is a small company. Unlike Xiaomi it doesnt have service centres in india as of now. xiaomi is going to manufacture in india and brazil. xiaomi is the largest mobile seller in china and third largest in the world in terms of volume. xiaomi and apple have tied up for payments. all this signals a US entry. Xiaomi is here to stay and grow despite the Redmi 1s’ partial fail. Xiami has taken off.
Oneplus on the other hand, very little can be said for certain at this point. IMO its highly risky to buy this. Please see through the hype before buying.. Specs matter only to an extant.

ok agreed about their software thing but isnt it specifically for india because worldwide they will be continuing on CM11 and moreover since rest of the world will work on CM11 so they will keep it updated too whereas we may or may not see similar functions and updates on their own OS cause that highly depends on how much sets are sold in Indian sub-continent so that will decide the future of regular updates.

No no.. they are not developing for India only..

For their next device (Oneplus two). they wanted their OS… and development was started in August.. but with CM news.. they instructed team to work on this project for Oneplus one first…

New OS will be based on Lollipop.. and no company commit support for twi years.. which they are doing..

got it and thanks for clarification so lets wait till tomm and if i get an invite then next step is to see what pricing they are bringing this device for which will decide its future.
I hope now they will price it aggressively considering 2 things mainly
1. Mi4 launch is also expected in Jan as hinted by Hugo recently
2. already CM11 issue appeared so now perfect pricing will attract more buyers considering the phone’s specs and hype.
will decide tomm now https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif
