Unlikely, most energy or gas bills cannot be paid in part or in advance for that matter.

Yes, it will. Once when my friend paid his bill 5 times in repeated attempts on BSNL portal. He didn’t know about their excellent server which threw error even after it captured the payment successfully. He didn’t need to pay anything for the next four months.
Forget five times, my single landline payment dated Feb 6th is not yet reflecting on Bsnl payment portal or selfcare portal and all I got from paytm is the operator ref#. Now trying to get in touch with someone at bsnl, who would know what to do with ref# will be a nightmare
Anyone here have contacts at BSNL to get it sorted out it if comes to that?

I don’t think BSNL portals are designed to display payment history of 3rd party payments. Please correct me if I am wrong and point me to the correct link where one can check the 3rd party payment history as I could not find one. Maybe going to the exchange and asking them about this would help.

Bsnl portal will not show the payment history for third party payments but it will show whether bill has been paid or not and on that note just saw that my payment is showing paid on the portal. Woohooo
