Exactly the same experience here. HDD shipped in just a poly bag! Maybe the stars were aligned impeccably the day I got it – there was no apparent damage. But the concern is that with things like HDDs, there is every probability of internal damage if/when the parcel was thrown around. Fingers crossed.

Then, the invoice didn’t have serial number mentioned. Don’t know if that will cause issues at time of warranty claim.

PayTM often gives the best prices, but these issues make me extremely apprehensive of making purchases, esp. for higher value products.

I even tweeted them about this policy, but from the reply it didn’t seem like they were taking their packing policies seriously. Really sad because I don’t have much confidence in buying such products again from PayTM.

What about laptops and stuff… do they send the original box in just a poly bag too? :p
