Yes go for Philips. They offer 3 year warranty on led tv. Sound quality is great on this tv

That is true for all LCD/LED TV’s when viewing SD channels. So yes, get the HD box and you will the see the difference.

Yes, though the LED is not full hd but you will see the difference by changing your setbox from SD to HD.
