Bro before review do check all the complaints listed by members on various websites like connectivity, charging prob, heat, touch, bleeding etc….

Atleast first level experience will be better than nothing, performance wise it should be fine without any issues, we can see if issues arises in future.

BTW anybody bought on EMI scheme, I selected 3 month EMI but full amount debited from account and when contacted CC they are asking me to wait for 7-8 days time for reverting and converting to EMI, anybody facing same issue.

if you have budget constraints then don’t go for u2. there’s a good tab by iball 6318i at 5100 odd on ebay (with codes you can get cheaper) or it’s younger brother 6309r (and not 6309i) which you can consider (4780 minus discount). reasons – almost same stuff but cheaper, iball has pan india service centers and they are good, 6318i has 4000 mah battery which is 33% more, it comes with bluetooth but big plus point apart from price is resolution, u2 has 480×800 whereas iball gives 1024×600 screen display so games, browsing and watching movies will be much cooler to eyes as lower the display images on screen gets broader and bigger. lastly iball’s tab are coming with jelly bean.

don;t go for china branded tabs like go tech, ambrane, domo, starpad, aniol, pental or many more because you wont get service or parts if required. with companies like iball or hcl you are atleast assured of getting service.

Sorry for late reply Guys , I was out of city whole day and just got back home 2 hours ago . Have tested this tab for 1 hour approax so writing a very short review.

First of all the thing i noticed is that on the screen there is a very small white spot on the left downside which is only visible on black backgound

Check this pic. I have clicked this with flash off and its seems like a minor backlight bleeding issue to me.

Though it is only visible on black background and there no sign of color distracting on the same spot while playing games/watching movies/videos.

The above wallpaper is like that only check below below one to get more clear picture of this thing

Wifi is running smooth but i m not able to connect any pendrive with this tab because the cable came along with this is so tight from the usb point end that i m not able to insert any card reader of pendrive in it . So will check this thing tomorrow after arranging some alternative cable in morning

A few points that i liked about the product after using it for a hour

:- Screen Quality and touch response – Superb i must say .The display is very bright and sharp. Touch response is very good and graphics were very rich in color in heavily loaded games like NFS,Dead trigger,Temple run2 that i played.

:- Battery backup and Speed – I intentionally opened 4 games in background (temple run, subway surf,deadtrigger and cut rope) and than played NFS for few min to check the response .Tab worked smoothly and Didn’t got hanged and neither i faced any kind of issue while playing the game . A few from all time popular games that i have installed till now r working flawlessly on this tab . No crashes or error whatsoever while doing multitasking. Regarding the battery back up i can’t say a much so early but after the initial testing i got this feeling that it has a strong battery backup as the % of battery just dropped by 4 after playing and testing for whole 1 hour. Also i have read in many reviews on net that it takes a lot of time to recharge fully (almost 6-7 hours) back again and i think that is correct though i will get a clear picture soon .

:- Design and Camera – Slim design and 2 tone color on back give this tab a royal look and gives a feeling that u r holding a expensive tab. Regarding camera, The front one is more than good to do video chatting and click self pics even in night time whereas rear one didn’t impressed me a lot . The pic got blurred when i used the zoom option . Still need to b test in day light i hope results will b better at that time.

Now , a few cons of this tab

:- No Direct Usb connectivity option. Now when i didn’t find a extra cable with me to connect and check usb working thing i realized that its a negative point for this tab.

:- No Flash option is there which u will feel necessary while clicking the pics in night time.

:- The plastic quality of side buttons given for power on/off and volume keys is not impressive at all.

:- With 667gm of weight it is not so comfortable to play motion sensor games/on motion sensor mode (Like NFS) for a long time (specially for kids) at all. Surely one need a break after 20-25 min. of playing

:- Missing light sensor – Now a days it’s a common feature in branded smartphones of above 5 k range and i feel that its a very good option to save the battery . Like if u r playing some game and got some urgent work to do and u put back the front cover expecting the screen light to go off but sadly this will not happen in this tab

:- Sound quality is also just okay type . Even Micromax’s and Bsnl’s low budget tablets have much better and loud sound speakers as compare to this one…I mean while holding this tab which looks very big by size u expect some good quality speakers which sadly this tab doesn’t have.Though in earphones the tab deliver the decent quality of music/sound.

All in all after 1 hour of using i can say that i m satisfied with the product and its worth every Penney that have paid . At this price i have got a product having more pros according to my needs as compare to some small cons. Also the freebie leather cover is very good in quality and i don’t think one can get that same quality one below rs 400 in market . Regarding the bleeding back light issue i will write a mail to Saholic and wait for their response , Let’s see what they have to say about this .

I have bought on 3 emi of Axis bank , Got the sms of full amount and i think they will block the whole amount of 8499 on card but will add only the the amount equal to 1 installment in next bill

I haven’t used that buddy but i have used Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P3110 which comes in similar price range and i found this spice one much better than that

@ arun, xtron has very very bad battery backup. all who using have reported battery drainage even on stand by or sleep mode. only solution is switching off the tab when not required. secondly since battery drains even on sleep/lock mode charging it takes forever. one of my office mate told he plugs at 9 pm and by morning 8-9 it is charged fully and using it for 2-3 hours make battery end abruptly. so think accordingly.

Very good and positive review. Lot of people who ordered will be relieved by this. Only backlight bleeding seems to be a minor con to me.

And, what about any dead pixels? Did u find any? And, how actually one finds this? May be no touch response at some portion of the screen is called dead pixels.

Lava xtron has a seven inch screen. Samsung tab 2 is a better product than lava xtron.
And, as rdx says this is even better than Samsung tab 2, there is no question of comparing this with lava xtron.

arun if you are going by flipkart reviews they mostly are a day old usage review handled delicately being new product. if you press control+f and search battery all review must be having word battery though it’s just a quick review by everyone there. for better reference check out xda developer where real techies are cursing wrong purchase they made.

This is what i found in reviews from net

On the down side, there is a slight backlight bleeding issue (the backlight visible from the sides of the screen and not through it). This issue is only visible slightly in two places in our review piece and thus should not be a big issue

The applications marked in the pic were the first 4 applications( i didn’t relied on 1) that i installed in this tab as i was also very afraid for this issue but good that none out of 4 applications showed any sign of dead pixels

I just wanna tell u one thing that once u get ur hands on it i m sure u will not like working on 7 inches ones . This looks monster in front of those And do tell me if u r able to find that white bleeding backlight spot in the above image

Thansk RDX bhai for the review and clarification on the EMI, previously I never seen full amount debit in my online CC account like one time full payment, thats the reason I was worried.

BTW please clarify new scratch guard is required or already some protection is there on the tab.
