The cashback amount credited to my card account on 10-10-2016, but not 10%, only 7.5% (I purchased from App only and the narration of the cashback also mentioned as AMAZON 10% CB AUG 2016 in my card statement) @Magus

The government should ban cashback sales. If at all the websites wanted to offer anything, let it be instant discount. We go through a lot of hassle with this cashback shit.

Bro, till date barring one instance out of multiple instances (more than 10) never faced cashback issue, it does get delayed sometimes but is credited sooner or later. But I do agree with instant discount option.. Although it does not favor banks in any way.
Banks have their own motive/agenda/business reasons for offering cashback and not discounts.
The reason is they eventually get the customer bound for the next 3 months to not cancel the card if they need cashback. Offers tempt the cardholder to use it compared to normal circumstances. If u decide to cancel prior to cashback date, u lose the cashback which goes into banks pockets. Also if u dnt cancel, u basically ensure customer is around for another 3 months which cld also be a case of renewal/annual fee charge date falling within those dates where banks benefit. Another reason is if u observe nowadays banks more often than not come out with some cashback offer every 3 months so that the cycle continues as above.

Whatever their agenda, they should stick to their schedule, right? Now @SmallKing has to run behind them to get the remaining amount. How dare they say it will be credited in a month!

Me too recieved 7.5% cashback in my two cards.will contact them tomorrow.this is second time iam facing problem from amazon for cashback.its 100% amazon fault.
