If they can provide this in other markets wtf is stopping xiaomi from including it in India. none of the high end phones come with the normal sim,

you can cut your normal sim but wtf can you do if you have a micro sim, and where should i search for the fu***ing adapter….

Bingo! You got it right! I figured it out myself 5 minutes after I posted. It is indeed the protective sheet that I haven’t removed yet, for want of a screen guard. It’s kind of grainy and the proximity sensor registers it, hence the problem.

I think this phone would look nice if it just had a completely transparent screen guard like sheet at the back for protection, along with the font. But I could not find any such thing after a quick search of Aliexp. Anybody knows where a good quality one might be available? Even the sellers selling single screen guards on Ali hardly have ratings…

no need to use a Dev ROM. you can root the stable ROM itself ! Further you have an option of using CWM Recovery or the stock recovery .

All MNCs treat India/3rd world markets differently. What we get here are international names, but not international quality or service… at least not the quality that is sold in western/US market. That said Xiaomi is still offering unbeatable value compared to other brands. Durability and service remains to be experienced, though. So no point cribbing, though I’v also been cribbing about lack of screen guard, basic pouch, etc. Anyway, SIM adapter you can very easily get, but no other accessories are available yet in the market.

Go to settings→about phone tap on build no. till it says you are developer now. Go back, you will see developer settings, you will see adb debugging there.

Thanks it worked. Noticed a problem led light works when checked with light manager but when actual messages or miss calls come the led ain’t blinking anyone with same problem ?

Its fine here just received a msg and it blinked.
Did you unlock n lock again?
