Meanwhile Ab0tt , the parent company of these brands , are selling mostly skimmed milk powder+sugar in pursuit of health drinks for seniors and children..see the ingredients list and have a laugh at those who gulped these drinks like it's a special drink which will make them superman ..these people were drinking reconstituted milk by giving a chunk of money to them 
It's actually hilarious to read the article. Government says we don't define what's healthy in our food act. So in that sense no drink can be under the "healthy" category. There's no process to distinguish different drinks. It's all responsibility of the consumer to do it on his own.
Law is ensured by Court or Judiciary.
Many people have lodged cases but so called Justice Givers received 💰 from these companies & remained shut.
Some long time "Crusaders" should be happy now...

Even outside bournvita , govt should ideally fix an upper limit of added sugar that can be put in any packaged food product. These kinds of regulations dont exist anywhere in the world, but would be a trendsetter if they can actually do it.
Currently anything and everything contains sugar like its free for these companies. Just to make a better flavour.

These health drinks as in Biology textbooks are called "pseudo science" that gives an impression of scientific method to become disease resistant and provides vitamins for growth. A good decision but.......
Baba ji ka apna "herbal" powervita bhi aata hai, so I don't think it actually has much do with that thing , this is a long pending thing like many other things. And still it's only for ecommerce, it's important to realize the majority of these companies sell through offline small stores. Decades of advertising has gone into putting this into the brains of naive people that this is healthy, so it's gonna take sometime to revert.
People who are using ecommerce are by default relatively more informed about this.
And despite knowing all this, I can't make my brain to forget those ads starring MSD or Sachin saying "Boost is the secret of my energy" (they used to advertise in my childhood before VK came). Boost still doesn't strike that unhealthy ring in my head, that's how strong marketing works.
