None would help in such cases
Wah😀.. kya khush khbri sunayi h subah subah
U might be aware thst in such case u need to contact with the receipent bank and get details of acc. holder and requet him to sign reverse transaction form..so that bank cn reverse transcation
U cn also request the receiving bank to contact the receipent and request him to reverse .
It can only be reversed if the receipent agrees.
better route communication through RBI; then see impact

Don’t ask bank to directly giv details of account holder, tell Dem to directly contact nd request customer if still Dey don’t do dat giv den written application wid trxn details/payment mode/amnt dan bank can lien mark dat amnt….after dat cntct nearest oxi or any transfer merchant who do transfer things…dey hev good contacts for reversal nd can easily get u cntct no. of accnt holder nd dan u can directly request dat account holder….m going thru dat only…

I think they are lieing..how could they dnt hv account holder communation details.
Tthere is/must be standard set of procedure for such cases.
I suggest you not to do verbal communation instead go for written communition stating your detAils of transcation..mail their head office ,heir manager there nodal officier , and and other higher authority
Kindly note verbal communication hold no value
Hope you get your money back .. But how much was amount ?

What would rbi do when u r at fault..
- as per icici, they don’t have customer’s contact details. I think, bank is @fault here. KYC not submitted:-}
- human errors are always possible. if rbi cannot help, atleast they can workout a process for future such instances
- if OP does not accept that he had entered wrong ac no, then?:-P
in short, RBI might help coming to a point of decision

1 Banks are not supposed to share these details with third parties, so it is more of reluctance which is justified even if details are available.
2 and 3. Banks force to enter the number twice. So these arguments fall flat. The transactions are based only on account number, without matching the account holder name. Almost all banks follow this bad practice, very few match name and account number. RBI is aware of this practice.
