do any of you have, any of these:
§ UIDAI / niradhaar
§ MAPIN (kirit Somaiya’s and others fingering resulted in this timely aborted additional red tape)
§ have verified themselves or added in the National Population Register
This is an overwhelming task from Government of India, glad to hear india going to in digital world

Related: this dimer (i/ me/myself) done have any UIDAI assigned number either. For the explicit reason that I can not trust my biometric and other identifiers in the hands of ‘non governmental’ third parties that aren’t even statutory or mentioned as must in any Law. If like UIDAI, govt. lets other collect, manage and keep my data.. THEN THANKS BUT NO THANKS. In-fact when even Naval war-rooms aren’t secure, I dont have any high hopes. But the sham of Aadhar is too much: cards issued to photos of banayan trees, dogs, deities.
I’d rather give up any supposed benefits, than live with a shadow and fear of my identity or details being at mercy of ‘chalta hai’ and/or zealous hackers.
No where in world this much biometric data of civilians are stored. Only criminals biometric samples are kept.
