This is the first time we are trying out Ask Me Anything. And in future we will try to bring in more.

What is Ask me anything:

Ask me anything is a new discussion thread, that we are trying to create, where we bring the users face to face, with an expert of a particular product or service.

Here Dimers can get all their questions answered directly from the proverbial horses mouth; as the term suggest – you can literally ask the representative anything and everything you feel like.

To begin with we will have a representative from MyInsuranceClub (www.myinsurancecl...om) on Monday, 14th March (12:00 PM), who will be answering all your queries about investment plans, finance, various insurance plans like vehicle, health, term etc and advising you on them.

If you have any doubts, myths or confusion about certain aspects of insurance, you can get them all cleared from the expert, live right here on Desidime.

About MyInsuranceClub:

Myinsuranceclub.com is the first IRDAI approved insurance comparison website,
The Mumbai-based company offers an unbiased and independent search capability and direct visitors to the insurer that best meets their individual requirements. Consumers can compare the price and features of insurance plans with the click of a few buttons, all for free. The company’s goal is to become the wiki of insurance in India.

Note :- Kindly restrict your discussing related to the topic.

can you suggest me some high return investment options. I know risk will be high but its ok.

Tough. High returns is more about market’s performance than about the plan. The charges of the plan do affect your fund.

Anyway, ask for the benefit illustration sheets from 3 companies for the same amount of investment (say 50,000 every year) and for the the same period (say 15 years) and see what is the expected returns at the end of the policy term. You can also visit the websites of these insurance companies and generate the benefit illustration yourself.

Some of the companies you can check are
HDFC Life
ICICI Pru Life
Bajaj Allianz Life

Bike condition is very good. Can i get comprehensive insurance or it? If i can get only 3rd party insurance, can i get it online which can be worked out faster?

I had taken a ULIP in 2011.
Rs. 50k yearly premium for 5 years.

15 years period

however, the returns right now seem low coz of the market. should I withdraw or let it be there…

If the idea is short term investment then do not look at insurance products.
Insurance policies come with a 5-year lock-in period.
And if you try to exit mid way then the surrender charges are huge.

I replied to this earlier https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_smile.gif but anyway.
Insurance for a 1998 mfg two wheeler may not be offered online by any insurer.
It is best to go to the branch (national insurance) if you can.
The process will be much faster.

Once you invest in ULIPs this question will always be on your mind – Whether to Continue or Exit when returns are not good?
For people who have allocated a large amount of their budget to ULIPs I would say Exit and put it in guaranteed-return products.

But for those whom it is not a big part of their income or savings, I would say continue and keep monitoring the market’s performance. ULIPs take 8 to 10 years to grow sometimes.

Ok. are you aware whether private insurance company will give comprehensive insurance to 1998 yr motorcycle whose previous insurace has expired. National insurance gives only 3rd party insurance in such case from whatever i know.
