There are many price drop alert services available on the internet, but have you ever tried what it's like to track prices with just your PC/Laptop?
We can arrange price tracking with this chrome extension called "Distill Web Monitor" but for now I figured out the good configuration to set up price tracking on Amazon products. [for flipkart, i will try later]
With this configuration the extension will check the price of any Amazon product every 5 seconds. Since the target page is very lightweight it does not even consume much data balance for monitoring.
The configuration is also simple.
Step 1 :
install Distill Web Monitor Extension
Link :
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/distil...

Step 2 :-
Open the page of the Amazon product you want to track. Copy the product ID from the URL of the product page.
[ For example, see this product URL :
amazon, in/Lifelong-Legacy-OTG-25-Litre/dp/B0CXJBMBJW
the Product ID in case of URL shown above is B0CXJBMBJW ]
______________________
Step 3 :-
Paste the product ID at the end of this URL address.
https://www.amazon.in/gp/aod/ajax?asin=
__________
Example : If Product ID is B0CXJBMBJW,
Then the URL address will be:
https://www.amazon.in/gp/aod/ajax?asin=B0CXJBMBJW
__________
Now paste that URL address in the address bar of Chrome browser and press enter.

Step 4 :
Now Proceed Like This :
Right Click -> Distill Web Monitor -> Monitor Parts of Page.
after clicking on "span.a-offscreen" click "save selection" [see screenshot]
______________________
Step 5 :
After clicking on “Save Selection” it will automatically open the options page. Scroll down a bit and find the “Schedule Checks” option. At the Schedule Checks option, reduce the "Interval" to 5 seconds [see screenshot]
______________________
Step 6 :
Now scroll down a bit further and find the “Conditions” option.
at "Condition" options, click on "add condition".
at "Contains" drop down menu, select "has number less than (<)" option.
[see screenshots]

Step 7 :-
Now calculate how much you want the price of the item to drop.
For example, suppose the price of the product is 5000. You want to be notified when the price drops by 10%.
At such time, subtract 9 percent from 5000.
9% of 5000 rupees is 450 rupees.
If 450 is subtracted from 5000 rupees, it is 4550 rupees. so we have to type 4550.
[see screenshot]
______________________
After entering the price, click on the "Save" button.
Done!
You will get popup notification when the product price drops from 5000 to below 4550.
______________________
are you thinking that it will be not a good deal even at the price of Rs.4550? Wish another 10% drop would be nice?
Then follow the same procedure again.
Subtract 9% from 4550.
if 9 percent is deducted from 4550 it will be 4140.
erase 4550 in price input and enter 4140 and save.
tracking service will push a popup notification when the product price drops to 4140 below.
enjoy.

This method has been tested by me. It works.
But if you want to test if this method works on your PC/Laptop, you can track the minutes in the "countdown" timer instead of the "price" for instant results
