I am holding a savings max account with 25K MAB and a free Easyshop Platinum Debit Card that came with it.

I am getting an option to upgrade to Business Debit Card. I find it useful for tax payment.

Please help me -

1. Will the new card become chargeable ?

2. What will happen to the reward points that I have accumulated but not redeemed ?

its for current account holders, not sure you will be able to apply for it successfully even if you tried (i maybe wrong), i never tried, but ya just saying

That stays, but may face issue with pending reward points to credit, though I remember getting pending reward points after the card closing once.

BTW, I don't know how I missed this card, it looks good but up to 750 somehow kills the deal but sounds better than platinum on paper.

I'm already in biz category (self employed shown as profession), so maybe I should open a current account under own name with hdfc and apply for this card, solely for paying taxes...

Oh, I started 10 yrs ago with biz platinum CC > moneyback business > fought hard and cunningly to get millennia LTF 2 yrs ago, also have tneu infinity LTF, combined CL is around 5L...

Now, now, bhailog, don't go around applying for a current a/c willy-nilly. If you do, then be prepared for an eventuality where your next upgrade or first pre-approved CC offer is an offer for a biz CC. That's a total boner killer. And to make your life more miserable, the knuckleheads at CC dept. will come up with outrageous replies like Sar please sand screenshot or we believe we have resolved the issue to your satisfaction...the case is being closed...will elicit no further response.
