The morons are going backwards. Used to recharge for 2 day unlimited data for Rs.55 on BSNL EDVO in case of excessive data need. Now, they have block the recharge even before payment page, ’It’s not a valid BSNL recharge’. Freecharge didn’t have the plans earlier, recharged once and got Rs.50 as balance complained to freecharge but no use.

Have you contacted Net onair ? They are providing service in your area and approx same plans compared to Railwire.
Refer these Links

I hope you have contacted DNJ TRICON . They have decent plans compared to these two.
and give a call to all the providers listed in Justdial.

then it seems as spectrum auction is not near thats why they extended it.
provide source so that I can show to my nearest office and get things rectified quickly
else they’ll just start baseless discussion

I talked to two BSNL officials today who said it and also confirmed by the SDO. So don’t worry it’s sure news.

I dont think it will extend any further
I have been to BSNL Exchange today as i am not getting EVDO signal inside the issue and the officer in charge for CDMA WLL/ EVDO told me that they got instructions this month not to issue any new connection as they are shutting down EVDO services completely in bangalore
Even they denied issuing me a replacement sim
They were issuing sims until last month

Today I went to my area head, Even confirmed that Evdo service has been extended till June.
May be they wont issue new connections but will give service to older ones till it can be further extended.
My BSNL EVDO sim stopped working suddenly (was getting no sim error with full EVDO signal) on saturday. I was having network disconnect issues recently but i was thinking the issue is with the device
I asked for a replacement sim some days ago but the CSC of my location said they dont have any replacement sims. I asked again today they are helpless. They just suggested me to get my sim replaced in any other part of karnataka as whole bangalore doesnt have sim instock
Finally i thought i will talk about this to the MSC person i was in touch with from start. That lady was so helpful, she and the other guy from the MSC contacted like 5-10 CSC’s in and around bangalore and finally arranged me a replacement sim today
I was made to wait 2 hours but i didnt mind it because its an air conditioned room
In the meanwhile i was asking about BSNL evdo closing down, she was like we cant just shutdown our services indefinitely like reliance is doing right now. They are just not encouraging new connections as they are planning to gradually convert cdma customers to gsm. I asked if this takes 1 year, i was surprised n happy to hear that she said 2 years
Now with confirmed news of reliance cdma shutting down (Got the 4G upgrade text in my AP sim , yet to receive in my KA sim), there’s no better option other than BSNL. I hope this really lasts 2 years

Glad that to you were helped by BSNL pple
and also its good news fir BSNL evdo users that it will take long term to even shutdown
Sometimes govt. things are really good

Oh, man! I feel like crying. Why the fcuk they removed the tower from my town?
May be they didnt have enough subscribers in your city/town
BTW reliance is removing all unlimited plans from circles which are getting upgraded to 4G
So 43 per day for unlimited data n unlimited calls is not working for AP circle
So probably there wont be any unlimited plan once they upgrade to 4G
or they will continue unlimited packages to postpaid/lifetime plan consumers
i recently shfted to a new house and here bsnl evdo connectivity is very low
is there any way to increase signal strength ?
currently using zte ac 2766

Buy this: http://www.ebay.in/itm/CRC9-External-Antenna-Co...
But first check whether your dongle has the port for CRC9? It would be located on the side. There is picture guide too I posted a long back in this thread.

If at least in some areas of your house signal strength is stable, you can use the dongle with a 3G wifi router placed at that location.
I was finally able to get a connection after a lot of convincing and some fake stories. I went to the CSC in majestic and they suggested me to go to the one near hotel Atria and the lady there was unwilling at first. I made up some stories and finally convinced her to give me a connection. For some reason she took only Rs.40 and gave me the sim card (I thought the activation charges are 350?). She had like a big bundle of cdma sims and told that they were only for replacements when I had this surprise look on my face.
Can someone please provide me the username and password for settings in ZTE AC2766? Thanks

Ask others from Bangalore for the code to replace ‘KO’ in the username
I was going to buy unlocked evdo data card from ebay, but as I understood from this thread, this seems that reliance is closing their cdma service .. So should I buy or not?? Any hope left that they wont upgrade CDMA to 4g?
