No EVDO recharge on Paytm

The morons are going backwards. Used to recharge for 2 day unlimited data for Rs.55 on BSNL EDVO in case of excessive data need. Now, they have block the recharge even before payment page, ’It’s not a valid BSNL recharge’. Freecharge didn’t have the plans earlier, recharged once and got Rs.50 as balance complained to freecharge but no use.

That is a different model AC2746 NOT AC2766, it doesn’t have RUIM and it doesn’t work on BSNL EVDO.

its working on BSNL EVDO perfectly without any problem always getting full network and speed at day time around 900 kbps to 1.3 Mbps and at night 1.3 mbps to 2.8 mbps, i have brought this data card during ebay 50% loot https://cdn2.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_toungueout.gif

Who configured it? And how?

brought the data card from the same seller from ebay and see seller mentions in description

Fully supports BSNL EVDO and other CDMA carriers for up to 3.1 Mbps Download Speed (TESTED)

also this device have CRC9 antenna support port se we can easily connect it with external antenna using CRC9 antenna connector

Zte Ac2746 doesn’t have a sim slot so my question was how did you got it configured for BSNL EVDO? For non-RUIM data cards you have to either configure the data card yourself or visit the BSNL office.

Its truly unlimited plan but only few dongles work with BSNL evdo. Verify before buying if it works with bsnl evdo as most modems don’t work. 840 is unlimited prepaid plan. Sim cost is 20 Rs. Contact your bsnl exchange for more details.

The plan is for 840/month and 20 bucks for 6 months sim validity. Speed varies greatly from place to place. So, if you have a CDMA mobile/dongle then first check the speed at your place. You can recharge with 55 valid for 2 days. If it works for you then you can go for full month. You can ask the BSNL personnel too if your area is covered. If the speed is low at your place then you can buy a ‘Sierra 595/598u modem from ebay.com. I had 598u model. It catches signal even where others fail to. But it doesn’t have a sim slot and you will have to manually configure the values. BSNL guys ofcourse haven’t seen anything like it in their lives so they can’t help you. For other dongles available in India read this thread.

Those who asked for unlocking the Zte AC2766, the process is simple.

First download these softwares:
1. http://d-h....Q3
2. http://goo.gl/hdzmmJ?gdr...rl

1. Now go to device manager. Control panel>Device manager. Scroll down to ports and note down the Zte modem’s service/diagnostics com port.
2. Then open cdma workshop (first link)
>select com port of modem you noted down and click on connect.
>At the bottom it will show a message “connected to com port successfully”
3. Go to security tab
4. Enter ‘spc code’ 000000 (six zeros) in the box just above the ‘read button’ and Click on ‘send spc’. You will see a message “spc is correct phone unlocked”
5. Go to ‘other’ tab> ruim config> select ‘R-UIM if avail’ from the drop down menu and click ‘write’. You will get a success message.
6. Open ‘Zte unlocker’ software (second link).
7. Again select the same com port you used in CDMA workshop and click on ‘write’. It will ask for ‘spc’ use 000000 (six zeroes) and click ‘ok’. You should see message: write min limit success
8. If you get error msg: ‘write min limit failed’ then reconnect the modem and try again from beginning.

(2) What am I supposed to do once the six-month validity expires?
(3) Is it must to have a CDMA data card or Mobile to test the speed?

You need to say cdma evdo sim card for 3.1 mbps Internet.
After six month recharge with validity extension voucher of six months. Buy unlocked cdma dongle zte ac2746 or Zte 2766 from ebay to use Internet.

yes you should ask them that u want to buy an CDMA sim and about six month validity expires every times when u recharge of your SIM it will extend the 1 month validity automatically so every month u recharge u’ll get another month validity (but as a new connection, i would strongly recommend you to do 6 month validity recharge must) and yes you must have CDMA data card or mobile whatever u preferred to test the speeds and signals

(3) Is it must to have a CDMA data card or Mobile to test the speed?

Please kindly answer these silly questions for me.:-}

1. Buy a CDMA sim and ask them to activate EVDO. You can also ask for IFWT, try your luck if they know and can help you regarding it. IFWT will cost you 390/month only.

2. recharge again with 20 for next 6 months.

3. Ofcourse.

28Dbi antenna should be very powerful. And at this price it’s too hard to believe but those who have bought it have given good reviews so go for it.

Some modems have two ports. You don’t need that one.

I neither have a CDMA data card nor a CDMA phone. I hate to buy a CDMA data card whilst the speed turns out be pathetic. Is there any other temporary(the most economical) way to test its speed?

PS : Will this sim work on any CDMA phone?

If you are suggesting anyone AC2746 then guide them to the right link or it’s very likely that they would end up buying a non-modded modem.
