Got my sim at the Reliance Digital, Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. Got a sms confirmation that application had been received after almost 28 hours. Got another sms that it was ready for tele-verification after another couple of hours. Got through to the 1977 televerification number only after repeated tries. Sim refused to connect to the network even though I downloaded Jiojoin. After some trial and error, finally got connected after I had disabled the second sim in my Moto G3 and restarted the phone.
Impressions so far: Hope it’s still in the trial stage bcoz the connection can be somewhat unstable and disconnects from the network every now and then. Sometimes automatically reconnects, but more often than not, has to be manually reconnected. Biggest irritant is that disconnection always happens in lifts. Sometimes, the connection is shown as live when it is actually disconnected and one get to know this only when making a call. As far as data speeds are concerned, been getting between 1 and 6 Mbps depending on location. Has been more reliable than voice though here too connection goes dead, sometimes. Of course, all is forgiven so long as voice, data and sms are free:-)
