Except Interconnect issue there is no issues stall and they are quite unsure how many months it will take to solve this , hence even though they have launched Jio for Public they are giving Free Preview because If someone pays for something and do not get the services, can sue Jio.

Don’t worry they would be surely excluded from data usage. Just because it is plausible doesn’t mean they would start billing you data for your calls. That’s not how a new operator would do it or for that reason any operator would do. I never compared it to the Dollar pricing, in fact the price I paid when I was in US (in case you are referring to USD) was much higher than the price I currently pay in India. As you want to compare PPP let’s compare it with the likes of China and South Africa as shown in the slides at time of launch today. Do you think the GDP adjusted to PPP in India is that irrational compared to China and SA too? As of now there is hardly 10% difference when you compare with China at least. So yeah, the pricing provided by Jio is still way cheaper than the global offerings.

I don’t know where you derived that 10% price difference from (unless you provided a link to substantiate). US GDP per capita (adjusted to PPP) is at least 9 times that of India and a typical plan which Reliance announced for 500 costs $40 there. Even if you calculate in a lay man terms of $12 per hour being paid for an unskilled labour (here the pay for the same wrk is not more than $1 per hour) $40 is still cheaper there in terms of PPP.

So true. 8 out of 10 times I get all lines are busy error, speeds have become highly erratic, places where I used to get good signal now has no signals. At this rate it would have been better if they postponed the launch to next summer.

I took the step and informed Railwire cable guy to not renew my account. Trying to buy Jio sim for past 3 days but stock not available (Have Lyf/jio and looking for home broadband).

I would suggest wait for few days, it was told in AGM that from 5th of Sept they’ll make sims AVBL for every1 , in these 5 DAYS THEy’LL make sure that sims will be stocked in the outlets so no one can go out of store without JIO sim..

They have set target of adding 10Cr. subscriber and I m sure they’ve to loosen up the bar code offer invites or completely abolish it and it was specifically mentioned in that speech that with aadhar card u can walk out with JIO sim within 15 minutes…

It’s still not clear how Rjio will treat it as. I hope if they put a charge on the services additionally they won’t count in the bundled data pack.

Using other sims only for In-coming [Not doing recharges to any of my number since last three months ]

Freecharge and Mobikwik keep sending me mails with coupons, they all expire. Soon DD recharge trading section will close down.
