Suggestion on Pondicherry tour

Guys, I’m going on a leisure tour to Pondicherry aka PUDUCHERRY.
Can you give some insights about the places to visit and the bike rentals.
I’m visiting it for the first time with my friends. Heard about beaches and churches. Anything special about this place.
Time of visit : 22-25 October, 2015.

I was young. Didn’t go to kodai. But these are very much exploited and commercial places. There is very less to “actually” see and create hype. Dont take me in the wrong sense,
Visited Ooty around 3 years from now. Stayed at hotel Darshan. Hired a cab and a cab driver, and the season was okish.
When we visited any place, it was very polluted. I personally didn’t like it.

my personal exp- TN has d worst auto/taxi system! i went der before d golden days of ola/uber…
min auto rate if 50 bucks even if its 1 km.. dont know hows d situation now! good thing abt chennai is u have shre autos almost everywhere!
btw u can visit hyderabad! so many good places to see..

You are right. Try Kolli Hills. It’s not as polluted as Ooty/Kodai yet. Another heaven on earth, for now.

Coimbatore to Ooty on toy train and staying for few days in lovely nilgiri. Mesmerizing. Or Sikkim trekking tour. Try it.

Don’t know about kodaikanal
polluted, don’t think so. Populated, yes. Ooty is now like any other hill station during summers. Best time to go there is aug-oct when less people go and flora is rich due to rains.

4 days in pondi?? 
i’ve gone to church, some meuseum, had lots of food adn then some auro beach.. dont remember exactly.. covered it in one day.. mahabalipuram is also quite close to that!

Siliguri, Sikkim, Gangtok and Darjeeling on Diwali holidays. Maybe using makemytip wallet this time to save some money.

Stay in darjeeling, some basic sight seeing.
Hire a bike from AdventuresUnlimited and a guided or unguided tour to sikkim and other unexplored places and monasteries.
But it would cost me around 15k if I use mmt for flight and hotels.

But had a few bottles chupke chupke. Thats the worst sin I’ve ever committed! Don’t ever go to Goa with family.
Visited Miramar beach, Panaji Boat ride (De captain – - Don’t remember the name exactly. The yellow color lighting wala), Ponda, Candolim, Mapusa, Anjuna Beach, Siolim, Vagator, and so many forts..
But didn’t party reason stated above.
Those were the days when oyo was in full flegde.
So, zero hotel booking costs.
